ana show report - no pictures

From what I saw and experienced:

Tuesday - busy

Wednesday - very busy

Thursday - extremely busy.

Dealers were buying. International dealers were buying. Nice 64-65 morgans were selling. Fatties were selling. Raw collector coins were selling. "Type 1" proof silver eagles were selling. Lots of raw and plastic gold available. Not too much generic/junk silver from what I saw. Lots of unstickered coins available for those who play with stickers. The Tyrant collection is remarkable. Aside from the obvious rarities, I enjoyed seeing the '64 SMS coins.

The '33 is GEM! GC had a nice collection of monster silver dollars on display. A couple of Peace dollars in the group were very attractive.

I had a chance to meet and chat with messydesk. He is a nice guy. Same for Gary. The dealers with the all the rattlers are very nice as well.

There is PLENTY of young blood in the hobby. There is nothing to worry about in that respect.

It is absolutley fine to have a coin show. Most people were smiling. I enjoyed talking with fellow hobbyists. The internet has its perks, but a large show like this is definitely something you cannot experience or represent digitally .

I hope everyone who attended had fun. There was no doubt something for everyone. Kudos to rosemont and the ana for putting on a great show.

How could you tell, weren't they all wearing masks?

@spacehayduke Facemasks were recommended, not mandatory. Less than 10 % were wearing them.

Thanks for the interesting report. Glad to hear the show is going so well. As far as masks, unless they are N95 or better, they are useless against a virus. So smile, be happy....Cheers, RickO
