there is something really odd looking about that cent.
the date and mintmark are bulbous like balloons. the date should have a flat topped numbers. the mintmark is pretty consistently thin on coinfacts but the mintmark there is "fat" and balloon-like

someone expert on lincoln cents will have to say, but I think it is a counterfeit
Who would go to the trouble of counterfeiting a 54-S cent? Are you aware of any counterfeits for this year/mm Lincoln? I ask this because I am not aware of a counterfeiting issue with 54-S Lincolns but would love to know about such a problem if it exists. My guess is that the lighting and angle is making the date look odd as opposed to it being a counterfeit. As to the OP's question it is impossible to provide you an accurate value/grade assessment from a photo of one side of the coin. However from this one photo of the obv I would guess it would grade as MS65 or MS66 at best.
Here is an article from CoinHelp site by one of the new owners of NTC II, Corp. Somewhat interestingly odd that I have never heard of a new NumisTrust Corporation. To my knowledge, I have not heard of them mentioned other than as very bad. The last post I could find regarding them was 2008, which was another bashing, but nothing since the death of the owner in 2012 and the purchase of the complete organization until today.

You do see those bulbous features every so often. Not on every coin of course, but they do show up. I think the photo also looks slightly off because it's not perfectly in focus or head-on (that's not a knock to the OP so much as a general comment that some minor oddities with the coin are just a bit exaggerated in the photo, which will change how you see them).
I have a few of these raw from roll searches but where I put them, I can't say.
As stated above no added value but still a nice conversation piece.

No. I probably have about a dozen filled 9 lincolns.
No major value in my opinion. I had more questions about the slab. NU-"MISTRUST" CORPORATION?
So I looked and found this:

NU-MISTRUST. No good.
I believe they evolved into NNC after they realized their mistake with the NU-MISTRUST name.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
that famous site across the ocean sells fake cents. I've seen them on the site.
if they are careful they can coin some MS68's and sell them for $1 each.

The thing with NTC slabs is that the grades are often wildly off. It's real but no where near a 68.
All comments reflect the opinion of the author, evn when irrefutably accurate.
Just a common die chip causing the filled 9 - and like previously stated, it's over graded by at least 2 points.

far too common for any premium.
But, on etsy! Priceless

I think it’s genuine.

I _wish__ it was a counterfeit! It would be worth multiples of what it is- a genuine U.S. cent.

The cent looks authentic to me... .Just photographic anomaly.... No significant numismatic premium. Cheers, RickO
