1/10 Proof Gold Eagle set

Trying to decide whether I should send my set of two 1/10th Gold Eagles (August 5th release) in for grading since the actual value of the "set" is the box with the two coins in it along with the numbered COA. If I send them in then the box is just kind of "there." What say all the experts? Send it in for First Strike grading or just keep the set as is in the box? Thanks!

that's your call
answers will vary by person.
Leave it as is🤓
There’s no guarantee of grade and most of what I’ve heard here is 70’s good 69 break even might as well leave it in ogp because they seem to sell about the same as 69’s🤓
Even worse what if they come back 1-69’s and 1-70’s.

I am not an expert, but at that price I would just pass on the whole thing.
Kind of my thinking too. Thanks for the replies. BTW, nothing is more irritating than sending in two coins received as a set, and getting different grades...........UGH......... ;-)
OGP all the way.

@knovak1976 .... Welcome aboard. This is often a question that comes up. My opinion, is keep it as is.... you can appreciate the coins, and they can sell as a set if you decide to part with them later on. Slabbing will not add that much, and if they do not come back as 70's, well, not a good outcome there. As a set, a future buyer can take the grading gamble. Cheers, RickO
Isn’t slabbing these by sending unopened to PCGS the only way to show they came from this set?
yes

A tough decision to make.
Please let us know what you decide to do.

Kennedys are my quest...
Hi Wayne.........left them in the OGP. Seems everything is being slabbed now and as a collector I know that the OGP is becoming scarce and makes this set what it really is. Cheers, karl
Had one of these come in today over the counter, guy just wanted what he paid for it
I just sold one on eBay for $799
