Just wanted to recognize one of the top shelf guys on our forum and thank him publicly for playing a big part of the hobby for me these last couple of years. Pedzola has played a huge role in the assembly of my gold type set. We’ve done several transactions and trades in person since this crazy pandemic started, and in the process, it has manifested into a friendship on here that I truly value.
Our collecting interests are very similar, so when ever he acquires a new piece for his collection, I’m very excited for him. However….I didn’t learn until recently from a thread he posted a while back, he has some carpentry chops too. He had made a beautiful walnut tray that he used for displaying/viewing some of his coins. I commented along with others of how beautiful the craftsmanship was on it.
Well we were recently talking about a classic head gold piece that I am on the hunt for, and we got to talking about the tray. Chris asked for the dimensions of what size would suit my needs, and a week later it arrived!

The original one he posted had a nice black felt liner, but this green felt is off the charts! I love the tight mitered corners on this tray. He really did a beautiful job!

This is going to serve 2 purposes for me. For one, it will be used to move what ever coins I want to go through in and out of the safe. It will also now serve as the background for any new coin pics going forward.

Thank you so much, Chris! Like many of the coins from you that are part of my permanent collection, so is this tray!

Great post!! I enjoy reading positive posts about forum members. Makes the community seem closer. That is indeed a beautiful tray, and excellent tool for handling coins, especially if raw or being removed from a plastic holder. I have soft rubber mats - but that is classy. Cheers, RickO

An all around great story! And a wonderful (and very useful) tray!
