Las Vegas Show report.

Dealer set-up started at noon on Thursday along with dealer to dealer sales. Sales were very strong on the wholesale level into Friday for me. I was disappointed with my sales to the public on Friday and Saturday, not the big crowd that I was expecting. Overall my show was very strong because of the dealer to dealer sales. It’s a very well run show and a great venue.

Glad you had a good show!

Care to share what was strong, and what wasn’t?

Interesting.... Dealer to dealer strong, but a weak public showing.... I wonder if that is due to the virus resurgence. Cheers, RickO

All my sales were Morgan dollars, better dates were strong in PCGS holders up to $1,000. I did sell one for $3,700.

I could have used more money while attending that show. I was in town for the week while my girlfriend was at a jewelry convention at MGM. Bought myself a pair of half dimes dated 1856-O and 1863. I'll post photos later on!

I’m thinking COVID-19 uptick and new masking requirements in Nevada might have something to do with it.

Looks like more and more coin shows start and end on Thursday. Guess we have the internet to thank as that is where the retail buying has become relegated once all the good stuff has been picked off for subsequent resale on various dealer websites.

If dealers really want public participation (i.e. buying) then the public needs to be allowed equal access from the beginning with pricing competitive to what the coins are being paid for by other dealers. Walking in on Friday and already seeing the tents being folded says to the retail buyer, this show ain't for you.

Looks like there is a consensus here.
