Always wanted one.. problemed, but slabbed. I guess 100 was an overpay?
Nice to have a truly historic issue

    I don't think $100 is an overpay if that's the all-in price.

$150 doesn’t buy you much more in terms historic character. If I put that 150 up against the steak I’d buy with it, the coin would win 6/10 times

I like it for $150. For a 238 year old coin, that's less than a dollar a year!

Last week you could have bought a damaged - Good details 1792 half disme for $25K.
Always wanted one? That's a lot of historic bang for the buck!
    That's original ED and I don't think there's any re-engraving.
What's a gradable one with that detail worth? Triple that?
    Always wanted one? :#

Much more interesting for the money than plenty of other [recent] coins you could have bought for the same price. Seems like a winner to me!

What the hell kind of steak are you buying for $150?

I think you did OK. That's a nice artifact. I paid more for a different one (C-4) with corrosion.

You could have done a lot worse.

I've spent $150 lots of times and had nothing to show for it.

That is - IMO - a good purchase. I think you did well. Based on the pictures, I would likely buy that coin at that price. Cheers, RickO
