My wife Denise (1956-2021) :,( EDIT: I can't believe it's already been a year...

This morning I got some very very sad news. :(   Perhaps the saddest news of my life this far. :(  Just one week short of our big Sweet Sixteen anniversary that I was going to come see her (she had to be in a nursing home 40ish miles away) and play Nintendo with her for the first time and present her with a nice Sweet 16 Anniversary plaque and everything... :(

She passed away in her sleep.   I mean she did have various health (both physically/mentally) issues but...I just didn't think it'd be now, like this...  

I don't know what else to say but among other things I by far credit her most with helping make me a proud cat lover/cat daddy and I will always have at least one.

Thank you so much Denise, for all the happy memories and other things we were able to experience together.  I hope I was able to make the last 16 years of your life happy ones and I hope I made a really good kind of difference in your life.

Neither of us were in the military (though her "ma" was a WAVE during WWII) and in this case, I don't think she in this song even got 16 days with her new hubby, much less 16 years...but Carrie Underwood is by far her favorite singer (in fact it was right before we got married that she was on American Idol) and I can't think of a better song/video to describe the situation and to give tribute to her...and the change in her dress was VERY nicely done.

A couple more tribute songs for her...when me and my grandma were playing cards at her house last Sunday (we restarted that tradition the previous Sunday because we both got COVID vaccines now) we had the Music Choice Classic Country channel on and this song happened to play...and I told my grandma how much my wife adored Marie Osmond:

Not so much while we were married but before then like in the 80s/90s or something she was very much into ABC soaps and she was especially into the whole Luke and Laura thing...now I had already done this song as a tribute to my dearly departed Tweetie (our first cat together) for her passing in 2012 and I certainly think the song fits here.  :(

    So sorry for your loss...my wife lost her first husband from renal cell cancer at the age of 48. She will always miss him.
