Getaway Time!

Yes, the mrs. and I are headed for some R+R time. To our favorite place. Short distance and very pretty. Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
Haven't been there in about 9 months. Time to get away from neighbors, family, house choirs and yes, even coins. Sorry, no offense to anyone on my list. Lol. Just need some real relaxation and some beautiful sightseeing. Maybe even a boat tour?
Oh, forgot to mention,

It's our 33rd Wedding Anniversary!

    Take a good coin book or coin magazine with you. You can read it while unwinding after an enjoyable day. And don’t forget your ipad, so you can check into the forums every now and then. Have a happy anniversary! :)

    Many rolls I brought back from a Wisconsin Chase Bank, have whole rolls with these pennies with the same substance on them? What is this? Some sort of calcium build up? Maybe from a flood? Thank God, I haven't found a key coin or a major variety with this debris on them! If I do, what should I try to use to remove it? Thanks :)


    Also, check these old school N.F. String & Son coin wrappers out. Amazing how thick the paper is. They're a couple of sheets thick.They don't make this type of wrappers anymore, do they? Super thick!
    Hard to tear.


    Still have approx. 90 rolls left.

    So far, found 17 wheats. Nothing significant. One old 1924 (Good) and a blazing 1958d. That's it.

    My daughter was born a year later,89.
    Yes, enjoyed the getaway at Lake Geneva. Very relaxing and beautiful scenery and historic. Wish I can retire there. Lol

    An act of admittance

    At first, I was disappointed. Nothing found.
    But Just after opening only 80 rolls of the 150 from the Wisconsin Chase bank.
    I would have to admit. These customer rolls ARE awesome after all! Yes. I shown you guys some of the real winners already. The two, not one, but TWO, 1998p Wide AM Cents. Sez it all about this exclusive haul from the cheesehead Town.
    Plus, two or three other varieties, as well. Let's not forget about the 20 wheat cents that also were pulled out of these 80 rolls. Only a couple decent to keep. Regardless, 20 wheats in only 80 rolls? Unusual.
    Also, worth mentioning, out of the 80 rolls searched. Take a guess on how many 1992 p and/or d's, I came across? An astonishing approximation of 100! Everytime I spot one, right away my heart stops, thinking,"This may be the ONE!" Sooner or later, I feel like I will find one in this beautiful and exciting grab bag of surprises. At least I'm hoping to, anyway? :D
    Well, I have 70 more rolls to tackle. Wish me luck guys. If I do so happen to hunt down that elusive '92 Cent, be prepared for me to notify you guys that me and the mrs. will soon be taking another road trip to that great state of
    Wisconsin. ;)
