I have appreciated and enjoyed this decade-long series, from Platinum to Gold to Silver, and this appears to be the finishing touch on this era:

    Wow... That is a beauty....Sold for six figures according to the article. There is no view of the reverse at all...or description. I assume it is blank, but find it hard to believe. Maybe some denomination (10,000 pounds)...Cheers, RickO

    For me, it was hard to beat the first issue. I love this series in gold proof (glad it's over, though; it was expensive!)

    Great series, but unfortunately the silver coins "attracted milk spots." :'(

    I haven’t seen any of the milk spots on my silver issues but that is sad! Sorry to hear. And yes I too am glad it’s over because it does become expensive chasing the tail of the Dragon. I hope they don’t renew the series like they did with the lunar series.

    I thought I had purchased the 5oz gold Completer from a seller on eBay, but the coin I received featured just two small round raised bumps on the reverse. Came to find out that I misread the auction title and actually purchased the Queen's Breasts coin. Talk about taking one's lumps.

    The last time I checked, the Plat series only included 8 of the designs. Same for the 10 oz silver beasts - only 8 had been released.

    I received my Greyhound and Completer Beasts.
    The latter of the two came in a glued rather than taped box and was open in a USPS clear bag (with their apology) and the only reason I have it is because the bubble pack was also glued to the inside of the box. Whew. I let APMEX know. The racer pooch was from Provident @ $1888.88, had to buy her at that lucky number!
    So, here they are. Albeit, on my camera phone and this “reverse proof” design (although they describe the GLD coin as uncirculated) is very difficult for me to photograph.

    Was it a poor glue job?

    Yes, I believe so. It was not holding it all....the box and flaps fully open and it was more in the style of the US mint packaging then previously APMEX shipping with a lot of tape.

    I like it too, just not significantly above spot.
    I have been fortunate to get most of mine very close to spot.

    The 2 oz bullion version of the 11th "collector" coin comes out Thursday. I wonder if anyone has an 11 coin coin holder out there I can upgrade my 10 coin with?

    I ordered a roll of the 2 ounce Completer (love the RP finish on my one ounce gold Collector/Completer) silver coins from APMEX and may order one from Providence Just to spread the wealth.

    Just got my 2 oz completer coin, looks great! Wonder if anyone will make an 11 coin storage / presentation box for airtites? Sucks to be one of the people that shelled out big money for a fancy wooden box and now can't hold the complete set in it.

    Good question. I have a couple of rolls of the 2 ounce completers on the way but I can see the benefit of the presentation box allowing that last one.

    I got very lucky too with no milk spots on my Queens beasts silver.
