US Mint product enrollment question

When you "enroll now" for a future product do you complete the process of checking out and placing the order. Or is just clicking on the "enroll now" button for the item (puts it in your bag/cart) all you have to do.

    You have to check out. After you do:
    ~ you should get an order acknowledgement;
    ~ the enrollment should be visible in the "My Product Enrollments" when you sign-in to your account.

    You check out for the "enrollment" but not the item you enrolled for. Your all set now for the time the item becomes available.

    I recently communicated with the Mint about enrollments. Their response included the following information ...
    "Please be advised that credit card and address information for enrollments are stored separately from the information saved on your account. Once you have verified your credit card information under the "Payment Methods" section of the My Account dashboard, please click on "My Product Enrollments" and verify each enrollment, as well by following these steps.

    1) Click on the enrollments one at a time (These are the blue lines of text)

    2) Go to "Billing and Delivery" tab

    3) Update address and payment information as needed. (For payment information, click the box that says "update payment" and select the card information you wish to use)

    4) Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Update Order”

    Please be advised, these changes must be applied at least 3 days prior to the products scheduled release date."

    Good information... And I advise people who 'enroll' to check EVERY TIME a new release is coming for your enrollment. Strange things happen from time to time... Also, cards expire and people may forget to update. Cheers, RickO

  • I've never enrolled in products from the mint.

    Is there a benefit to doing that?

    Always seemed too complicated and confusing.

    Oh nice!

    I didn't know that.

    That would be worth it.
