PCGS Regrade or CAC gold sticker
I have some nice coins that I think are under graded. Would I have a better chance of getting an upgrade of 1 point from a PCGS regrade or a better chance of getting a gold sticker from CAC. Your insight is appreciated.

For the record the coins are all pcgs 20th century type coins ms 64-65 in holders from 2009-2010 and 2002-2003.

Still plan on submitting to CAC for informational purposes only to see if I get gold and green stickers and will post when accomplished. You probably will remember my coins anyway. Thanks for your welcome. I do have great respect for PCGS and CAC. I grade more on luster and eye appeal than the technical aspects

Interesting question. If the coins are sent back to our host, would it be better to first crack them out before sending them back for regrading?

Tough question. In my opinion, getting a gold CAC is much harder than getting an upgrade at PCGS.
From my understanding, a gold CAC sticker, and correct me if I’m wrong for those who also have experience with this, is typically awarded to coins that are AT LEAST one and a half, if not more, grades higher than what is currently on the holder.

My understanding is that a gold cac sticker means that cac thinks the coin is undergraded by at least a full grade.

I have also been fortunate enough to have JA review some green stickered coins that I felt were deserving of a gold sticker. He agreed and changed the green sticker to gold. So far, I have been successful on four coins.

Don't you have to have a CAC account or access to a dealer who will submit to CAC?
If not a possible avenue, it is simpler to resubmit to PCGS.

I don't understand the obsession with CAC... either bashing or worrying about a $100 coin.
Reminds me of watching old vids from the Lisot archives.
There was a memorable debate on grading companies.
I only remember the against/cons team had John J Ford.
