Hit a mini JACKPOT!
Hi guys, yes,yes,yes!
I went to a "Chase" bank today. Asked for any half dollars. They told me they only had loose ones. $12.50c worth. I said, "I'll take them" Look what they gave me. Lol.
17 40%er's. Out of 25 halves!
What a Beautiful sight. A Stack of SILVER!

You know that you can save on gas and mileage if you just rented a desk in the corner of the bank. lol
Nice pickup.

Kennedys are my quest...
That's pretty! And pretty cool.
I've always felt that loose halfs (or CWRs) are a better bet than bank boxes.
JFK half dollars are such a curiosity. Many people cling to clad versions mistakenly believing they are worth more than face, and some others dump silver at the bank.
Cool. I ask the tellers whenever I'm in the lobby. They usually don't have anything other than the usual clad modern junk.
Great score, Joey!
I never go into banks anymore but I need to start!
Nice!
Nice!
Wow what a find! Congrats!

Nice!
In the 3rd pic you stacked the copper nickel trash on top of the 40%. That is not only sacrilege, but utter disrespect. You may lose 2 stars. The CRH gods will not look kindly upon this infraction. 😏
No , those are ALL Silver coins stacked. 16, and one 1965 nice one next to the stack. Lol

How can people who work in a bank not know about silver coins?
Heck, banks don't even "bank face" currency anymore.
I can remember many years ago (late 70s/early 80s) taking the day's receipts to the bank and if the money wasn't bank faced the world-weary teller would reposition the cigarette dangling from her mouth and shove the money back, saying they wouldn't accept it if it wasn't bank-faced.
Most employees at banks I have visited have little or no knowledge of coins or currency beyond marking the bills with the counterfeit detection pen (aka laundry marker.)
Here's why. Explained the way, Yogi Berra, would describe.
"Because they only have money on their mind."
Meaning;
They're just worried about getting paid on Fridays. Lol
"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!

What do you guys think? Thanks
"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!
--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line. That's a great question and the most likely answer is "Millennial" and these are exachary the type of banks to keep revisiting.
They're easily deflected
However, after enough visits the tellers can get curious about what exachary it is that you're looking for and/or if you've found anything. At this point your answer should be " You know, just old coins and stuff" " Nothing yet, I just do it to pass the time". Then a quick subject change, "How's life at the bank" Good?
Yes that appears to be an SMS coin.
