I was assuming it was going to be a space near the main entrance...

One of those Cheerios Sacs with missing feather details. Worth tons. You should slab it immediately.

You hardly ever see these out anywhere. So, who dropped it in the parking lot?

    nice find

good thing i know the obv diagnostic to look for or i would be beside myself with anticipation to see that reverse.

although Schrödinger tells me that until i see the rev, it could be anything@! i'm hoping for a washington eagle reverse...

I have never found a half dollar or a dollar coin. Lots of other denominations though.
Several years ago I threw all the coins I found ( in parking lots, coins found while walking, biking, etc. ) into a jar and had $62 for the year.
    Not too shabby.

I have found one Sac in a parking lot, and one on the floor of the local market.... I always pick up coins I see, even cents. My wife says "Why don't you leave it for the kids?" I tell her, the kids don't care about cents anymore... no more penny candy available...Cheers, RickO

Parking lot finds of any kind are becoming few and far between. In the past two months my total finds are: 5 cents, 2 dimes, 1 nickel. Considering that I walk 4-5 miles every day that is a very meager amount. I have spotted one more nickel and one more dime but they are so pounded into the pavement that I would need a jackhammer to get them out!

Coinstar machine finds are also becoming very few and far between. In the last two months I have found 1 badly corroded cent and two perfectly good nickels. I can't recall any time when I have found less. The days of 50+ item Coinstar machine finds seem to be over. (I have had six such finds in the past. The largest had 104 items, all US coins, at one time.)

    All glory is fleeting.

Do you think that our hosts would grade it as "Parking Lot Find" with environmental damages?
