WARNING: These boards are DANGEROUS

HashTagHashTag Posts: 374 ✭✭✭✭

@BustDMs : Houck’s counterstamps, @DCW : “Free” slave badges, @Kudbegud : Ron Landis, Dan Carrs’, and the absolute WORST of the bunch;
@HalfDimeDude : international numismatic grading service AND @joeykoins : Photo-certified coin Institute‼️ I love all this new (to me anyway) especially the cartwheels mentioned last because they’re gonna cost me a fortune that I could’ve used to upgrade my 1879 set. Shame on you all LOL 😂
Respectfully submitted with jealously.

    Heck, there's a song about it.

    Being an active poster on this board is certainly hard on the wallet. :) So many pretty things people post all the time. Thankfully, I’ve finally found a focus and have been slowly drawing down my other stuff to focus on my gold dollars.

    Such a broad diversity.

    I am paying down the last of my debts, so purposely limiting my expenditures.

    Was doing so well with few cherrypicks and some cheap toned proof sets. Piddling with some common Lincoln BU cents.

    Budget $100+ for grading a few coins once or twice a month.

    Then it kinda went off the rails...In the past two months, I have bought six error coins, a rare token, and dove into Statehood Quarters.

    It is nice to have a place where you can go to discuss numismatics with knowledgable people. This place is very educational for me. These forums are quite addictive. Most come here, and never leave....unless they are banned. As I have said many times before, “I love this place! “ :)

    Everyone is trying to get me to go down rabbit holes. Maybe the Buffalo guys are the most tempting. So far I have resisted, but I don’t know how much longer I can hang on.

    Back in the day, MadMarty and Russ (RIP) were the worst at luring me into areas of the hobby I didn't know I cared about. Russ had me looking at Kennedy Halves, for Pete's sake.

    Still, I have to believe the education I've received and the acquaintances I've made and the new interests I've fostered because of this Forum are worth more than the occasional grading fees I've wasted on a PF67 1970 quarter that my young, dumber self swore was a deep cameo.

    Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.
