NEWP- Newly Encapsulated Old Gold

Just picked these up and love the luster! From an old time collection in flips, first time sent to TPG, and both CAC approved!

Wow! Amazing coins! Both have everything going for them---true treasures. Congratulations
Ummm...wow. You found these raw?
amazing
Stunning!
Great images, too. They really capture the luster which is so hard to do in photos.
Did they come from a notable collection?
Dave
Wow! What an amazing find!! Good to know that great coins are still out there!
Oh my, my!!
Absolutely gorgeous examples, but that 1803 is simply stunning!

I was amazed by them as well. And to clarify, I didn’t find them raw- that would be a misrepresentation. They are part of a large collection previously in flips that were purchased and submitted for the first time to PCGS and CAC. I purchased them as they are now- the person who sold them to me did all the work.
Holy chitter, now those are special
Wow! Both are tremendous representations of their respective type.
Nice coins. Some good coins are still raw.
Wow!
Thank you- and I honestly don’t yet know much of the back story except what I posted. I just closed the deal yesterday and haven’t received the coins yet but hope to find out more about the provenance.
Holy cow, good for you, those are amazing!

Congratulations - those coins are absolutely stunning! And wonderful illustrations of the fact that not all worthy coins were already submitted for grading, years ago.

That must've been one hell of a collection to handle raw!
Yeah, grandpa had a bodacious SDB.
Holy crap!
Oh wow! Phenomenal old gold! Thanks for sharing.
Gorgeous coins! Congratulations.
Incredible coins. Thanks for posting them. I am hoping to find a nice 62CAC. Your 66CAC is jaw dropping!

Amazing!
Amazing! Holy sh-t!!!
@Floridafacelifter Always makes me feel good to see such gorgeous historic coins that have survived through the decades in the "wild". Makes me wonder what else is still out there waiting for discovery.
Thank you for sharing and CONGRATS! You have an excellent eye for quality
😱😱😱🤩
My eyes, my eyes, it’s too beautiful and lustrous for my eyes 😵😵
What the heck else did they have??

You have a top pop on the 1803 eagle
https://www.pcgs.com/coinfacts/coin/1803-10-small-stars-reverse/8565/65
😱😱😱😱
Both are top pops
The 1803 is tied with one other but the other is not CAC approved
The 1834 is tied with two others and one of the others is CAC approved
But this is also the first time either of mine have been graded, so perhaps they could upgrade on resubmission in the future
So this whole experience makes me wonder- when making a purchase and relying on pops what’s waiting out there in the wild about to crash the boards and disrupt the pops- who knows?!?
Gorgeous!
Wow. Those are special.
Ridiculously nice coins. Look brand new. Very well done!

I don’t doubt that @Floridafacelifter has an excellent eye for quality. But those coins are so spectacular looking that it shouldn’t take a discriminating eye to realize they’re very special.

Absolutely incredible gold coins. Beautiful luster, clean surfaces, excellent strike. Just fantastic coins. I could spend days (and nights) just admiring them. Cheers, RickO
The 1803 looks to be conservatively graded. Awesome coins!!
Awesome coins!
