I've been living a lie... Another upgrade to my Walker set - 1947 D with nice gunmetal toning
Yep, I've got to come clean...
My 1947-D Walker being replaced by this one is in a MS 63 PCGS holder with a mechanical error, it's really a 1947-P with a 1947-D label. I couldn't live with the lie anymore LOL ![]()
GTG on this new upgrade if you'd like. I'm still working on some other upgrades for my late date set, and early date set as well. I went with this as an upgrade as I like the how I describe as a "gunmetal" look to the peripheral toning and a deep luster overall.

Haha, yeah I think the mechanical error would bother me as well!
That coin has a nice look and the luster shows in the pic. I'm guessing the orange hues are just the lighting. Otherwise, a clean coin with some slight contact marks on the leg and sun and a pretty clean reverse. I'd guess it as a MS66.
She's a real looker. MS 66.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

66.
I like gun. metal coloration and it seems to swirl/mix with gold toning. Lots of visual interest!
"She comes out of the sun in a silk dress,
running like a water color in the rain...."
Gorgeous color on that one!
Very nice coin!

Kennedys are my quest...
If my gun metal looked like that I would be worried...
Definitely not a condition I would like on my guns. On a coin though... Well, someone will pay a premium for that one. Cheers, RickO
