Hey... Read this... it's worth it

I had my name changed because it's been brought to my attention a few times on CU and CT that DarkRage666 (obviously) was a sketchy name... I, myself have grown to hate the name as well... A little backstory on the name...
About 4 years ago the name DarkRage666 came about because I was suffering from major bipolar depression. I was in and out of mental facilities, having mental breakdowns, and overall going through a hard time... This came from years of abuse, psychologically, physically, and emotionally. On top of that, my family is full of bipolarity, and schizophrenics... At this time I created the name DarkRage666 out of emotional distress. This was a manifestation of my anger and dark side that many people were able to see. Now, 4 years later I have been through counseling, mental hospitals, and balanced meds, I have been able to grow out of that name and bring myself to a new light. DarkRage666 is a name and a part of my life that is being put behind me while still keeping it in front of me.
Now my new name (as some of you females may know) is actually named after a company that makes the make-up line "Naked." There isn't much behind the name other than the fact that I thought it was cool and it has my birthyear at the end
Thank you for your time,
UD04

I will admit that the old name made me wonder.
Glad things have improved.
Not sure I'd want to run into someone wearing makeup named "Urban Decay".
Glad you've been helped. Depression is a horrible thing that many people do not understand. Keep taking your meds and NEVER start thinking you don't need them unless your doctor says otherwise. I say this from experience, not with myself but with people I know.
Am glad you're on a positive path and I believe you that it has been a struggle. My mom suffered horribly from schizophrenia all her life and she had a tragic death. I have great empathy for you and am glad this hobby is something you've found to bring you smiles. Carry on UD04!

Well, good for you. Seeking out and being open to help is the best thing. I have a nephew that when he was a kid I loved dearly. He developed problems and would not let people help. He lives under a bridge by the railroad tracks now. He's 42 years old. The police in town cut him slack because he's who and what he is. Hey, people will help you. Listen to them. God Bless.
P.S. TAKE YOUR MEDS!
no drinking alcohol, no illegal drugs, and remind the other doctors you are on meds and ask if new drugs will conflict.
Honestly, it wasn't worth it to me. I stopped reading about halfway through......🤣😂
$20k raise means $10k more in coins!
I don't have any first or second hand experience but this has to be critical advice. I assume the danger is that when the meds are working people get complacent.
I do have a friend who has fairly normal age-related issues but he doesn't take his prescriptions because he feels OK.
Thanks for sharing.
I appreciate your forthrightness and your enthusiasm for this hobby.

That's for darn sure. You can count on it!
Until you get old.
I'm so impressed I'm depressed........................

Prayers for you.
Coins will go out tomorrow.

Damn dude. I owe you an apology! I went back and read through your entire post. Turns out the first time I stopped reading after the first paragraph so I had no idea what you went through.
I am glad to see you made it through to the bright side and I hope you stay focused on being well.
I am getting to be an old man and have learned to enjoy every day the best I can because before you know it, you are old👴.
Be well!😎
It can always get better. Life is what you make of it. I have several friends, a few quite close, that struggle with borderline and bipolar disorder. One thing I have witnessed that helped them is having a routine and hobbies. Also it may sound cliché to say but if you just keep moving forward in life it makes it hard to be stuck in a bad place. I will also say that your WAYYY ahead of many people with WAYYY less problems just by realizing you HAVE problems at all. Even though I don't know you your post is positive and makes me happy to read.
Stay safe.
How does a person change their user name? I believe my original name here was roncoin sometime around the turn of the century but that was so long ago I can't remember how (or IF) it can be done.
Congratulations
Nice.
Likely being one of the only men here who actually managed an entire cosmetics department and a few other departments for a large anchor store (Think Macy's, Dillard's, etc,,,) I did actually recognize the name lol...I also know far too much about social dresses, proper bra fit, and duvets

Don’t ever wait for the future. Enjoy today!
I am so VERY impressed by your honesty and openness, and it’s great to hear things are improving. Well done! 👍

Darkrage666 was unique but probably scared the coin crowd. I’m not sure urbandecay04 is any better but now people will think you’re on the far right end of the political spectrum so you should be ok here.
It's getting better all the time!

I didn’t think anything about your former name when I saw it for the first time except maybe you’re in a metal band, or it’s also a gaming alias that you keep for all of your online uses.
That said, thanks for sharing your story. Honesty is a big part of healing.
...not only humans will like this change...it’s a good change...good on you, and stay healthy my friend
I kinda prefer UrbanRenewal.

Keep taking your meds. I foolishly tapered off mine last year and in recovery phase now.
It's great that you have got the bipolar under control after much time in suffering.
Enjoy life, but stay careful, of course.
In some ways you are lucky; I have a friend with clinical depression,
and there are no meds that work well for her.
@UrbanDecay04.... Thanks for sharing your history... I like your attitude and hope all continues to go well. A positive attitude, counseling and meds are the answer. Best of luck... Cheers, RickO
I think you will find this hobby and this forum will be good for you. Helps keep focus and on track with the positive things in life. And coins always bring out the positive in people of a like mind.
Glad to have you here, and I wish you all the best.

@UrbanDecay04 - I'm so sorry you had to go through all that in your life. I can empathize. I have suffered from depression off and on since I was about 6 years old. It ain't fun. I'm so glad to see you've gotten help, and that it works for you. Take care.

Your honesty, like your passion for coins, is VERY impressive. You are going to go a long way in life for sure. I'm glad you are on a positive path and wish you the best in everything you do
