Anyone watching the SB auction live?

Did they hire McLovin to be a auctioneer?

I thought that Worthy coin elongated $10 gold Indian would have been cool but,
It exceeded my max bid.

Really nice! Great coin from Corrado Romano!
Sorry you missed it!

Watching this make me realize how pathetic my attempt at coin collecting really is....sigh..
bah.
collecting is enjoyment. lots of ways to do that and not everyone is the same.
My perception was that prices were strong, though not really in my specific sphere of interest.
I was pulling for you!
Dang it!
You made me go look and I ended up buying an 1873 $10 gold love token that was a few lots later.
I was already signed in but planning on avoiding buying this time, but it looked too cheap at its then current bid and bid it up to theoretical melt (with the reverse planed and engraved plus the heavily worn obverse, it must have a fair amount less than normal weight).
Does anyone know if the mint can be determined from the obverse?
Could not spot any obvious date position differences on PCGS CoinFacts, but maybe there is a way or I missed it. The S mint is relatively low price while the Philadelphia and Carson City are rare issues.

Excellent auction presented and executed by SB. I bid on 2 medals and won both, very pleased. The prices, I am uncertain since they are rare and rarely come up. Both are the same medals in 2 different metals, Silver and bronze, but the silver had a name engraved on the reverse which motivated me to bid strongly.
Congrats. That sounds awesome. Can’t wait to see them
I was successful on two lots and lost one, but so got my primary lot. It’s a US Mint medal with just 4 struck, no other at top 2 TPGs or top 2 auction house history, so I’m not sure if this is the only survivor as of now.
I needed to pass on many lots to conserve budget.
You have quite aa set! I just found your collage in this thread. I didn't realize you already had an elongated!

Yeah I was interested in 8 lots and some started out of the gate once live way beyond any realistic retail price so I never even bid. The ones that I bid on all ventured into the same territory. I can only guess that stay-at-home boredom came into play on some of the final hammer prices. I feel some are buried by trying to get a hobby fix in the mail at any price. Oh and I won nothing and walked away happy as a smart bidder on this auction.
I used to actually go to that coin shop in my younger days. I saw many of these elongated coins but never had an interest in them at the time. My bad.

Kennedys are my quest...
That's really cool. Did you get to talk to Corrado much? Any interesting interactions or recollections?
Do you recall seeing any elongated gold? A lot, a little, or none?
I started visiting Worthy Coin Corp in 1973, and I can't recall ever meeting Corrado. His son Don, quite the character, operated the place. Paging @BillJones?
There are 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who do not.
I never met Corrado Romano. According to Don, he didn't want to come to the shop because he was not up on the market. I started going there in the late 1970s. I did receive on of the silver center cent medals.
For those who may not have heard, Don Romano passed on a couple of years ago.
As for the yesterday's Stacks' - Bowers auction, I bid on two items and won one. That's pretty good for me these days. I was surprised to be the under bidder on the other. I thought that I would be well down the list on that one.
