    Daze gone by...

Excuse me, What is the THC content of that coin? :D

It was a honest to goodness “scratch and sniff”. THC was unknown nor did I attempt to put it in the bong🙄

Ha! Is that coin Indica or Sativa?

    @Eldorado9
I’ve have a digital album “Benin Cannabis Collection”. Three are Sativa-if you have the new iPhone 12 you can scratch yourself 😜

Awesome! Is it possible to win a Registry Set award for that?

I think you forgot the “LOL” after your post. Registry Set Award? Ha, they didn’t even respond to my polite request to add
a set to the registry. But in their defense, I live in Texas where it is still a hangin’ offense! I’m thinking PCGS just didn’t need the possible / likely grief!
I just hope I don’t get arrested for having something that just “smells” funny.

    I'm not joking.

There's a Registry Set award for Niue with a population of 1,620.

Benin has a population of over 7000x times more at 11.7 Million!

I have several coins that make me smile....mainly because, for the last decade, that type of coin is what I collect. This one, I keep by my computer, and smile when I look at it... Cheers, RickO

when I see your coin it too makes me smile because I know the History behind it.
I also smile when I see new comments on the post "Special Shout Out to CoinScratchFever From a YN"
It restores my faith in the good that people do for others with no expectations of something in return

That coin makes me laugh out loud simply for the year :D And from what I can tell this one's gonna be even better.
Side note to big tech: You can't fire me, I quit. Cancelled myself :D

Many lessons learned from this coin regarding grading, crossing, cracking and CAC. Not core to my collection but a keeper as a reminder of those lessons learned. Also, just a pretty coin!

1840-C Quarter Eagle -- Charlotte Mint
This coin carries special significance for me as I grew up in North Carolina and I have done some gold mining in the area where the gold for this coin was likely mined— the Broad River area. For me, this coin is more than just a coin, it is part of a great story for the history of Southern Gold and currency in the United States for the mid 1800s.

    Very nice!
