The eighties
Post a coin from the Eighties, any century.
I worked for these gents back in the early 80's in Lynn, Massachusetts at the Manning Bowl.

We have much in common. I used to listen to Aerosmith on the radio while driving through Lynn MASS back in the 80s.
I don't own a coin from the 80s yet found this advertisement that precisely bespeaks of the 80s greed decade.

Perhaps I'm still high from going to ten-thousand shows put on by these guys in the 1970s and 1980s, but isn't the coin in the OP an 1866 nickel and not something from the "eighties"?
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
My wife and I were eating dinner, in a Galveston hotel restaurant, when in walks Steven Tyler and his entourage. They plopped themselves right down beside us. The young girls were annoying. Food was great.
Your just high there Snoop Dog! 1980, 1880, its close.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Just a worn generic Morgan for the cost of admission, but the early 80’s were the greatest for me musically. I saw REM for $7 at the door in ‘83 at a small club. Tons of new bands, Psychedelic Furs, Wire... endless fun.
But I still went to see Aerosmith in ~86 or so when they regrouped the original 5 members. Good stuff.

One of these things is from the 80's...yes, I've actually had a Friday night like this...recently, and in the 80's (except not on DVD)

I'll see your Aerosmith and raise you The Smiths: signed by the photographer who took the iconic image (Stephen Wright):

Well... I was not following any groups in the '80's.... I went to the Woodstock festival and figured that was as good as it gets - what I remember anyway.
But here is a coin.... Cheers, RickO

Far out, man. Groovy. (OOPS wrong decade).
No matter. Foghat will tell you that "through the haze", close is enough.

I met HEART at a hotel near CAL JAM back in the 80's. The marque at the hotel read "Police chiefs convention" out front. It was a ruse, as all the rock stars. Mahogany Rush was just awesome! I was only wearing a Led Zeppelin T-shirt and lost my ride back home. I slept in a Donald Duck sleeping bag that I found in the parking lot till dawn.

An old photo, and I need to re-photograph it, but it's still a good coin.

The '80's huh? Well, if you're going to go to a concert, sometimes you gotta' go on a road trip with friends to get to the concert you want to see, for example the Grateful Dead playing Red Rocks, CO. Yours truly is on the right...

I've never been there. My favorite concert in MA. was in 1973-4 watching Bob Marley in a small theater in Boston before he became famous. A friend of mine told me I had to check this new guy out. The theater AT MOST held 500 people. Marley and his band were AWESOME!!!

Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, The Who, Rolling Stones, Jethro Tull, Heart, Supertramp, Styx, Kansas, Boston, Blue Oyster Cult, Yes
Saw them once or twice back in the day. Not sure what they are calling them this week, but I just got questioned a couple weeks ago talking about Great Woods and The Centrum at work. Feeling like a geezer and I'm not even 50 yet.
Drop dead gorgeous coin.

Kennedys are my quest...
Does anyone today think the singers and bands from the 60's through the 80"s whose members are white males with long and big hair were actually good looking?
The girls always seemed to like Peter Frampton.

Curiously Aerosmith is one group I always wanted to see but never did.
Only matters what the women thought.
One of the best small venues to see a show in the very early 80’s was the Capital Theatre in Passaic NJ. Saw a lot of good shows there—and the tickets were cheap.
