New Orleans $5’s

Does anyone have a listing of the relative scarcity of No Motto New Orleans half eagles,
I know 1847 and 1842 would be #1 and #2.
Where do they fall after that?

The PCGS Population Report would give you a reasonable first approximation.
55, 56, and 57 seem pretty scarce. Edit, there was a thread here not too long ago about this subject.
You should buy the Doug Winter book on New Orleans gold coins.
@golden Spot on with that recommendation. Last year I bought Doug's O, C, D Branch Mint books on gold as well as the new Classic Head book by Haynor. Great resources.

the 92-O is very tough if you are including that along with the 93 and 94 the order might change

Thanks, everyone.
Especially Brian..
I once posted a comparison of all C, D and O issues by date to show what were the hardest by date. Maybe @Wahoo554 will post his set which I had started with the 42, 44, 46, 47, 51, 55 and 57 and he has built out even further

Now this is my kind of thread. I was very fortunate to acquire @Boosibri’s set as he had already picked up 4 of the top 5 toughest dates. The set was all VF-XF CAC when I picked it up and I have added to it within those criteria. I’m not opposed to adding a choice AU here or there if the coin has the right look. Here’s the set. All except for the 1843, 1846, 1854 and 1856 came from Boosibri’s set:
42-O PC40, ex. Littlejohn and @RYK
1843 Large Letters
1844 PC45+
1846 PC45 my latest NEWP
1847 PC35
1851 PC45 RPD variety
1854 NGC 45
1855 PC45, wonderful toning
1856 PC45 ex @Pickwickjr
1857 PC35
Man oh man does that 46o hit a lot of the right notes. Nice coins

There was a time, maybe a dozen years ago, that I owned the whole date run. My favorite, at the time, was the 42-O in P53. Memorable coin!
That’s a great accomplishment. How long did it take you to assemble the full date run?
Here's my one an only New Orleans Mint half eagle. It is supposed to be one of the better dates. NGC graded it MS-61.

Not half eagles but a O Mint gold short set

I have the easy one for my mint mark set.
