Looks to me like the 2nd, 3rd, and fourth strikes all continued to rotate. There must have some period of time between strikes to allow for vibration/ rotation? Neat coin.
I doubt that PCGS would view in a positive manner hyping your coins on the US Coin Forum and taking advantage of their platform for advertising purposes. AND it is an NGC MS 64 to boot! Do you think for a second PCGS likes hyping a competitors' product on THEIR website?
Please put your coins FOR SALE in the BST Forum and all is well. That is what the major dealer do, why should you be any different? Problem solved.
I don't buy your explanation above. You can put your professional photos of your errors in the BST forum (they are pretty good..). All those that have an interest can look at them there and decide if they are interested in a purchase.
How about we let @HeatherBoyd decide as moderator? Either way I am OK as long as there is an explanation from her. Perhaps PCGS is OK with some sort of disclaimer that the coin is available for sale - I don't know. Other sellers simply post in the BST Forum with no drama.
I am not trying to be argumentative, only trying to be FAIR to all of the other sellers that seem to be following the protocols of these forums. (I rarely sell on the BST Forums myself.)

@Cameonut - Nope, don't agree with you. Up until your comment, this wasn't a negative thread.
I see nothing in the posted Forum rules to back up what you are saying. If we are not allowed to post photos of any coin that is for sale or might be for sale in the future, few of us would be able to post anything.
Your post seems more like harassment than a legitimate complaint. Calling in the moderators may backfire on you, if that is the case.
@IkesT
Not intended to harass as you suggest, but I do appreciate your point of view. I am only seeking some clarity on what is allowed on the US Coin Forum vs what should be on the BST.
I hold no animosity toward Errors on Coins or yourself. I just think it is inappropriate to "advertise" on this forum.
As I stated, you don't tend to see the major dealers "advertising" here, they tend to do it on the BST.
Whatever PCGS decides is OK with me. Easy enough for me to skip error postings since I don't collect them.
Thanks.

So is this one in your collection or in your inventory?
I believe that @DCW 's question is totally legitimate. Laughing it off suggests IT IS FOR SALE and belongs on the BST.
So what is the truthful answer?
Edited for clarity.
It's just an inside joke from the other thread "a dealer and his collection."
You took it a little too far in my opinion. Nothing wrong with highlighting an awesome coin for those of us with a casual interest in errors. I mean, it is interesting, and we don't have to click on the thread.
What is offensive about this?
And why is everyone so sensitive this weekend?π

"Coin collecting for outcasts..."
@DCW
OK, fair enough. I will stand down on this one (especially since you started it ). I had no idea it was an inside joke..... But I still think PCGS should clarify whether coins for sale should reside on the BST Forum and not advertised on the US Coin Forum. It would make these conflicts disappear.
Time for a little football this evening.

Every time any one of us takes a photo of our own coin and posts it, we are promoting that coin. Maybe we intend to sell it, maybe not. Maybe it's already for sale. As long as we are not spamming with sales pitches or dominating the Forum, who really cares? It's impossible to know or police everyones' intentions, in any case.
The bottom line is, I also think you got carried away on this one.
@DCW
We will simply have to agree to disagree on this one. I never post coins that I own that are for sale on this forum - ever. My coins are only posted for discussion or sharing purposes, which is what I believe the vast majority do.
If I got carried away, I am sorry it offended you. I would suggest you are too sensitive. Let's leave it at that.

I enjoyed the post and photos and think it is irrelevant whether the coin is for sale or not. It is interesting and educational. And when it comes down to it, all coins are for sale if the price is right.
If I got carried away, I am sorry it offended you. I would suggest you are too sensitive.
Where in my post did you infer I was offended?π€
All I said was that it wasn't offensive to post interesting coins on a coin forum, even if they are for sale.
I'm too sensitive??

Wasn't it you that called for a moderator?

I agree with this.
I did not see any theme that the coin was for sale. I saw a person sharing a cool quad struck dime with great photos. The fact that it is for sale on a different site or thread does not bother me as the intention of this particular thread was showing off a neat error coin. Other than his sig line (which I did not even read till now) I saw nothing advertising this as a coin for sale until it was brought up by others. I am not an error guy but I do enjoy clicking on these threads and seeing what is out there.

Cameonut, if I abide by your wish then I could never post a photo of a coin on this US coin forum again.
I do not think others would appreciate zero photos from me from now on.
I am a professional photographer and sometimes my photos come out super good and I like to share unique coinage with others.
I never post a direct link to any of my coins.
My, my, my, the coin is FOR SALE on YOUR website for a mere $2499.97!
Anyone could find it in about 30 seconds with the links you provide on the PCGS platform.
