Nice semi-key buff plucked from the wild just graded - Grade posted

Bought raw off the bay from scans.. turned out to be a bit nicer than what I had in mind even. First thing that stood out was the strike.
My new years resolution is to get out of debt so unfortunately I will not keep this one, and will be paring down a bit of my collection to achieve that. I was not very responsible (financially) in my 20s and 30s and its time that all ends.
Anyway, here it is. MS64
MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

I know the grade. I just want to chime in and congratulate you on such a great purchase. You truly have one of the best eyes in this hobby/business I know.
Well done my coin brother 👍
looks great. nice eye. are you rehoming it?
Perhaps MS62 (if not AU58) would be my guess.

Congrats on your find and you will feel great when you are out of debt, it is a worthwhile goal in my opinion

That is an absolutely gorgeous coin!

The obverse fields are outstanding!
I will be eventually. Along with a few of my favorites. Luckily the bulk of my collection is low value stuff and easy to hang on to.
Very nice! MS64.
Where do you get 62? Coin is very clean with a good strike. Just asking
I’ll guess 64? Beautiful coin. Care to share the eBay scan? Always fun to see the comparison.
I am unable to recall ever seeing a 27-s with a reverse like yours. Congrats. I wonder what the surfaces look like in hand. Seems 64 is not an unreasonable guess given the image

I wouldn't argue about it being a 64. Nice coin!

Very nice congrats!!
Wow, not even close to my series, but was thinking 65 until I saw the price guide. Haha. Got 2 dings on the Buffalo shoulder, so will go 63. Nice coin.

Strictly based on the comments the OP presented about the coin.

Sure! Scans but not terrible, has I seen actual photos I only would have bought it faster.

Good sound financial advice. Once out of debt you may find you have some disposable income and then you can acquire what you want without repercussions

Coin hobby has always self funded itself for the most part, however the car hobby has not been so generous. In fact one of those 4 wheeled friends might get the ax as well.
Wow, I presume the seller left a good chunk of money on the table by not attempting to take a couple efforts to capture the coins beauty. Great eye and instincts!
It was a BIN so he got what he wanted I guess. Might have saw it as a lower grade? There aren’t a ton of proficient Buffalo nickel graders. (Most in the thread got it right!)
Very nice coin, and I salute your plan to get out of debt!
Mark how can you judge a half grade better without the coin in hand ?
If the luster was a tad better I’d call it a solid 65. Even at that I’ve seen 27-s Buffs graded 65 that in my mind doesn’t look near as nice as this one you’re showing. The planchette is beautiful.
Great job Mr. Clarkbar👌
Why not? It looks pretty close to a 65.
Its all there otherwise, the luster just isn’t quite there. Plus on this doesn’t make much difference for some reason, especially when 65 guides at 11,500.
What did it go for on ebay? Auction or BIN?

Very nice Buff... Too late for GTG, but I would have said 64/65.... Good one. Cheers, RickO
Why not ask those who graded it 64, how they can judge a half grade worse without the coin in hand?😉
We’re just guessing based on the images provided and to me, it looks better than a 64, but not quite 65.

That looks like a great grade ... and one hell of a pick off that scan. What do they say ... no ba__s, no blue chips!!
On a side note, getting (and then staying) out of debt is one of the most freeing experiences you can imagine. I haven't had debt for over 6 years ... still have regular bills and property (along with other) taxes ... and it changes the dynamic of quite a few things in life.

I realize this is not a professional appraisal but only an opinion of yours [without coin in hand]
