I have sent a lot of coins to CAC but this is the first time I have ever seen this...

Wish it was a gold sticker. But I guess this is cool too.

C'mon, show the coin!
Hey, JA covered it up, not me!

Meh, I've seen better.

hhhhmmm, my love note from JA was worded slightly differently:
Tease.
Please pm me if dated 1794!
My 1866 Philly Mint Set
I'll take it whatever she may be!
Whoa!
OK take the paper off, show it off, take it as a cool factor so why you hiding it?
FWIW, I'd save the sticker and this photo.
One day it will be worth/mean even more.
Why didn’t you just show the sticky note vs. teasing us!
So, what does the coin look like?
That's pretty cool!
Now, let's see the coin!

She got provenance now.
I still remember seeing an MS62 DMPL Morgan that made me say wow. Had a look that was more impressive than most 65s. You never know what will take your breath away in coins.
That's not on personal stationary, a 6 year-old could have written that....
I don't wanna show the coin because I was told that it is a bit uncouth to show off a coin here that you will (unfortunately) sell soonish.
"It's like God, Family, Country, except Sticker, Plastic, Coin."
The board will grant you special dispensation. So let it be written so let it be done!
Send a picture of the Post-It note to the Autograph Forum and see what happens.
Or.......post it in the BST section with the exact same picture as a blind auction and take the best offer. I will start it at $100.
Alright alright don't twist my arm too hard.
"It's like God, Family, Country, except Sticker, Plastic, Coin."
Obviously given the jump in value, it has to go in for full-point reconsideration at least once prior to sale. I will never get 64 money for it in a rattler.
Here are some axial and straight-on shots I had taken of it.

Knockout seated dollar!
Nice one. Is it better to CAC before grade reconsideration?
Wow, that is sweet!!
Thanks for giving us a look.

while technically a tomb as it will never get in a better holder than that, it is a fairly posh tomb. He is right that is a great coin, you just don't find seated stuff that unmessed with

Thanks for the look and a lot of reasons for the coolness factors. But the one that really blows my mind is how 180 year old coin grades higher than some of the 1980 crap I've sent in - Head exploding now!

My Saint Set
I got one of those notes back from John once in 2010. It read "Beautiful, look of a 67. But with slide marks on cheek" about this coin:
And I really like the 1841 $1.
There are 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who do not.
I got one of those once, for my Pan Pac G$1. I would have loved to have gotten a gold bean. But it's the next best thing, right?
Pictures don't do it justice: It's bright orange. Like tangerine orange.

Superb!
It's rare that he will pay more than his usual offers.
Any comments from JA is AWESOME to say the least...
Now just vibrate it straight in the slab.
Wonder if he adds post-its to some rejects, too?.....”Keep dreaming! JA” 😆
Thanks for sharing!
I forgot to add.
I'm sent here by the chosen one!!!!
Thanks! I've saved a copy of that note to include with future coin sales.
Lance.
She is a beauty!

Kennedys are my quest...
Awesome coin! Thanks for sharing
Sweet coin Delaware. I’m glad it stickered
Very impressive coin.... Must have been put away early and just passed down for a few generations. Cheers, RickO
If you ever need to raise some quick cash and decide to sell it at a nearby coin shop, be sure to show that note to the coin dealer. He's sure to be very impressed and will be sure to make you a very generous offer.

Thanks for all the compliments on the coin guys! I am very proud to be the custodian of this piece of history even if only temporarily.
Must have been. I can tell you the guy who sold it to me bought it off of Fred Weinberg at his shop in 1989, but I talked to Fred about it and he doesn't remember where it came from. I did a good run through all the auction catalogues in the late 1980's but didn't find anything resembling this in description or pics, so there's a chance it just walked in and Fred bought it over the counter?

Great notes and coins everyone!
Definitely notes to keep!
I got a nice note from david hall on a trade dollar back in the day. It is a old school dealer thing I suspect as they at their core are coin nerds. We will see if this level of service survives the corporatazation of the hobby.

Really nice coin DelawareDoons. The old holder is great.
Nice coin. Almost looks like our 64+ CAC
looks like an upgrade but love the rattler. Tough to see in the pic but our $1 has tons of luster
