The shield (obverse?) side looks to have an unnatural color, and the WE portion of the ribbon seems to show rub.
But I’m not used to seeing Proof two cent pieces, so maybe this is normal.

I'm guessing you don't like the untoned area on the shield.

I'm thinking that is just not a photogenic coin. Unless you want to roll the dice, You need to look at it in person or have someone you trust look at it for you. Copper can look great in hand but develop strange appearances when lit and photographed.

I found the listing and the color looks natural in the other set of images (with the coin and the holder). If you’d like me to view the coin in hand and report back, feel free to email me at: mfeld@ha.com

See additional images of coin and holder. My guess is that they’re more representative of the coin’s appearance.

The discoloration in the upper portion of the shield made me look closer. However, I can see nothing that indicates problems.... basically a nice specimen. Cheers, RickO

Personally, I like it. The Heritage and Stacks' up close glamour shots flood the coin with too much light making color hard to judge.

There is a little something above "We" but I don't think it is anything major. The rim denticles at around 1:00 on the obverse are a little sloppy

Look at the in-slab picture and not the True View. And if you are looking to bid or buy, I'd take Mark up on that offer ... but I like it based on the in-slab photo. Unfortunately I think the TV makes it look like it threw up on itself.

I have been waiting to see what the possible issue is. I have little experience with proofs but I am not seeing anything "wrong" here. I would prefer more even toning on the shield lines and less spots. After seeing the slab shots that MFeld pointed to I don't those same concerns except for that one spot between the E and D of UNITED. That spot bugs me a little. Otherwise a nice looking coin.

Don’t like the color. Unless it looks drastically different in hand, I would hard pass and wait for another to come along. Tons of proof two centers and three centers on eBay.

The obverse colors looks off like it might have been cleaned. I also don't care for the carbon spots on a gem. Maybe it looks differently in hand?
