I couldn’t be any prouder or happier for my son. I may have to sell a kidney :o or some coins to pay for it, but hey, it’s all good!

And to keep it coin related, post a coin that you’re proud and happy to own!

    I have to agree with this. They should not be charging full rates for online only classes and I'm sure it's not nearly as educational as in person classes.

    Congrats! Beautiful area in the summer. That was one of the grad schools my daughter was accepted to (she eventually chose Caltech). She told me they have a wines and wine tasting class there that is one of the most popular classes on campus. What's he going to study?

    Used to live near Ithaca. Lots of stuff to do when you visit the kid. Finger Lakes, great hiking, wineries, Corning Museum of Glass is only 45 min away (to keep it coin related, the museum has a nice collection of 1890s Coin Glass) Any thoughts on a prospective major?

    They have great food too thanks to the Hotel School! Not something all schools can claim!

    That's awesome. Congrats to you and your son. It takes years of hard work (I'm sure for the both of you) to get into a place like that. To do that at a young age is commendable and I'm sure he'll have tons of success while he's there and after he graduates.

    I share your joy, on Thursday my oldest finished her last class and will be graduating Magna cum Laude from Drew.
    My youngest has been accepted to all the schools she applied to, so she has to make a choice soon. She likes Bryn Mawr, or Brown if she wants to do the Ivy thing.

    And I also may need to sell your kidney or your coins to afford it all, I hope you don't mind.

    Congrats! No worries, you'll make it work. When my son was accepted to Princeton it was pretty daunting, but he is in his Junior year and things are going pretty smoothly. I won't let him know that I congratulated a Cornell student! A good friend is a Cornell alumni and he and my son have a good natured rivalry.

    Congrats. There will be some “hidden surprise “ costs so if this is your first “sending your kid to college” experience expect them. Good school and a degree from there should pay handsomely.

    Your a temporary custodian of the coins you own, but your children's education is priceless. My 24 year old daughter graduated with her Bachelor's degree in education this morning.

    Congratulations to your son! You can get PLUS loans to cover the full cost of attendance and pay those back later. That would obviate the need to sell off anything in this awful market.
