Is one of these a 1916d Mercury dime?

Hello,
I am new to this forum and I and trying to determine if one of the extremely worn mercury dimes in the picture are a 1916d? These coins where in a collection from an older gentlemen who hasn’t seen them in over 20 years and as part of a larger sale I paid melt.
The center coin is a 1916s for comparison purposes. I know the 1916d was produced with four different dies. The lower position of the mint mark of the two outside coins is lower than the 1916s and thus I think one or both could be 1916d which if they are, even in this poor condition, could be worth a couple hundred dollars.
I don’t want to waste money so depending on your feedback will determine if I will send these coins in for grading.
Thank you

It's difficult to say. The 1916-S Dime comes with more than one mintmark position. Unless you know the exact location of each S punch, me thinks it would be futile.
Much luck to you.

Based on the shape of the mintmarks on your dimes, I think they're both S- the D on a 1916-D has distinct serif tails coming off the back, and I don't see evidence of them on either coin, they're rounded like an S mintmark. Here's an article for reference.

Welcome to the forum.
While I can't be 100% certain, from what I can see, none of the coins have a D mintmark.

I think the coin on the right is a D. The front curve of the mintmark is rounded, like the other image I posted. Maybe a better image may reveal trace of the top left serif, but that’s not very evident on the OPs coin. It has a shot. Goodness there are gobs of 16Ds in AG and lower....cant rule this out.1

Both are "S" mintmarks.
Thank you to everyone who has responded.
Benv thank you for the article.
Ambro51 that is what I thought especially because of the position of the mint mark, but I figured I couldn’t be that lucky which is why I reached out to everyone on this thread.
I have sent many coins to pcgs in the past but never one in such a poor condition. If I send it in and it is graded an s then I will be out about $45- vs if by some miracle it comes back a d it might be worth $200- plus fills a key date in the series. risk vs reward.
Happy thanksgiving everyone.
That is definitely not a D. There is no serif and you can see the bottom loop on the right of the S. Ambro's blow-up clearly shows that it is not a D.
IMHO
I agree, the coin on the right does not look like a D to me either; the upper left corner is smoothly rounded off with no sign of a serif.
@Ppp.... Welcome aboard.... It appears to me (and I did magnify the images) that both are S coins. Cheers, RickO
I had one a while back that was so worn, I was pretty sure it was an S, but the forum was on the fence more than 70% that it was undetermine able so i shipped it off to anacs on economy inside a non insured packaged cheapest way i could. It was an s
Both look like S's
Try for a better closeup of the mintmark on the right hand coin. Get a different light angle.
Thank you again to all responses.
I agree with the comments that it looks like they are “s” since almost everyone replied that they are “s”
My issue is because the coins are so worn and the mint mark is so low relative the the s mint mark on the 1916s coin I hoped there was an outside chance someone on this forum would have said “d”
Oh well can’t win them all at least I didn’t lose money.
Have a great day and I included better pictures per last request.
