I finally admit it...I'm an addict

OKbustchaserOKbustchaser Posts: 5,438 ✭✭✭✭✭

my name is OKbustchaser and I'm a bustaholic...It's been 3 and a half hours since I last bought a bust half dollar.

They say that admitting you have a problem is the first step.

Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

The "font" employed on Bust Half Dollar dates is my favorite of all U.S. coins.

I am not a fan of that specimen.

Sooner or later.....and I had my moment......Clarity will burst in and the little voice in your head says “What the F am I doing???”. It WILL happen.

Oh, that started happening 50 years ago.

    I didn't listen. ;)

That's all right...I'm currently high bidder on a couple of 27s that end tonight.

And the addiction lives on. Sigh

I first experienced that feeling in 1978. Now, a few hundred later I’m still addicted.

    Haven’t found any in awhile.....starting to twitch......may have to get a fix.......HELP!

I would even settle for a dark side ancestor of our beloved halves from Potosi. Was shut out in the recent Sedwick auction. ☹️

Q: When does a collector become a numismatist?

A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.

A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.

It's only a problem if it interferes with your daily activities and ability to function as a productive adult. :)

There are a lot worse addictions out there. This one is a healthy one, as far as I’m concerned.
