More tiny mintages coming up in about a week. Mayflower silver n' gold, coins n medals.
All being released on a Tuesday. Get ready to identify more Captcha picture puzzles.
Anyone else feeling frustrated already?

Debating only because I’m a descendant of someone who was on it....
Then you really must get one! That's very interesting! Like a family heirloom.
No thank you.... Not going through that again..... They are nice designs though... Cheers, RickO
I think I will skip the middle man and look at pictures of bicycles and boats and get frustrated and angry.
Not me, I'm out...
Edit to add,
After Thursdays debacle, I feel violated...

US mint product?
NO THANK YOU - I will be cool and calm on the sidelines. I ceased buying from the mint years ago.
I am sure we will see lots of dramatic threads with this next round of fake rarities.

I thought about it but the coins don’t appeal to me, honestly. There’s something about these laser etched (or whatever they use) masters
that make the coins just look a bit off to me from the earlier eras.
TurtleCat Gold Dollars
I'm also a descendant of two on my father's side and maybe another one on my mother's. Not sure I'll get this one but I do have the 1920 Pilgrim Half.
Think I will try silver. You think it will be a mad rush again?
Seems like the market will be smaller than either the ASE or AGE. I wouldn't think it would be that big of a deal ..... But, I didn't want to buy the 75 AGE, so .... ;-)
I'm just thinking out loud...
I don't think it will be a mad rush, but will definitely move some coins. Four different sets / items with a total mintage limit of 44,500.
The silver coin set will probably be most popular....but....they're not Eagles.
Silver & gold commemoratives and medals...with a truly modern "clip-art" look.
and the other thing to consider is that the prices for silver/gold are still way up there...who knows, could go higher....or drop again...

Not interested enough now and if I ever do get more interested, they will always be available at a price. This isn't the last chance to own one, but only the first chance. You'll always need to weigh price against desire to own.
I'm getting these as I've picked up the royal mint releases as well - these have a wider market for resale as UK folks will be picking them up too
notice the earlier release timing if you're going to try and snag em - prob earlier for our friends across the pond
I'm surprised with the general lack of interest for these on the forums. Am I the only one who likes the design? Might try for a silver set...
There probably would have been more interest if silver coins had been approved for the US to mint, and not medals. but I will be trying for one of each to keep anyway.

Not interested for myself. But if anyone wants some help getting one I may be able to help.

I like the designs as well.
I’m out.
No interest. In the past 10 years or so the only ones that interested me a bit were the baseball & Apollo issues. Even then, I’d have been better off to wait and get them after the hype.
I haven't decided yet I do like the Canadian design

I wouldn’t buy any gold or silver from the USM with their high premiums. It’s eye candy but a horrible investment especially when gold and silver may eventually settle back down.
No. Have fun.
the uk coins just went live - £195 for the silver set from royalmint - that's ~$260, with shipping ~$300 ... def not picking those up; appear to be exact same as us pair for $150, even down to the packaging
Picked up 2 of the UK sets. Why? Because it was sooooo.... easy.
Maybe no one will want them. But if they do, I really don't need another hour of checkout frustration at the US Mint
FWIW, the gold 2 coin sets are pre-selling for $2500 on eBay. You can buy up to THREE from the Royal Mint (US$1715)
While there doesn't seem much interest in these, I will also point out that they don't seem to have a household limit on the silver sets.
If this thing goes unavailable at 9 a.m. on the U.S. Mint set, I may go buy 100 at the Royal Mint if they are still available. LOL
I am not usually interested but I will go see just to have first hand knowledge of the diffilculty.
even if I were interested I wouldn't be able to buy any without emptying my cart of the WWII ASE V75 which I'm still stubbornly trying to snag.
I actually cleared my carts this morning. I'd rather buy something than get effed with every morning before work. LOL
Well the gold US coins are part of a complete modern commemorative set so I am going to try.

Got 3 gold sets from Royal Mint...$1715 each...the packaging IS different and distinguishable from US Mint...and production is ONLY 500 sets!!
No problem going through process. Left it in the bag without confirming. Just wanted to see if this was going to be a repeat of last time.
Got one of each of the four offerings, zero problems.
That was way too easy. Got all of them no problem at all.

Took 15+ tries. Kept getting booted back after processing. Finally got an order in at 09:07. USM088942xx
Didn't get locked out but site was not functioning properly.
Gold set ,Silver set,and reverse proof. No problem ordering. What's next the 1oz on Nov.19?
This set is a dog. LOL. Only 2 crashes on 8 orders.
I did get a gold set from the Royal Mint, but really did not need to as the US site was better than normal. However that Royal Mint has some amazing coins, had no idea. They are not cheap, but some very interesting items are there.

I don't know how many "packaging collectors" there are. But it's minimal risk. And with a limit of 3, it only takes 170 people to sell it out.
Is PCGS going to slab them as a separate item?
I'm waiting to see if the do a 'Puritan' set in 10 years to celebrate 1630 Boston

PCGS did indicate the gold Mayflowers will be in the US modern commemorative Registry sets, so I felt a need to get them, but sure wish the regular gold proof would have been available separate. Maybe if I travel to London I can spend the $25 pound coin on some bangers and mash and a couple pints.

Gold Reverse Proof Gone
"easy peasy" ...got the silver set..88885xx
The site is unavailable here.
Now at the edit time the coins are "unavailable".
you can get excited at a sell out in ... 24 minutes.... but how many newb speculators are going to return them in a few days.
or even cancel orders before they ship.
the questions are:
1) how long will they be available tomorrow
2) how many will be returned
3) will returns and cancellations prevent a true sell out
Do you live in a cave?
