the royal mint solo gold is composed of yellow and red gold, whereas the us mint sold uk gold is only yellow gold

I was able to get a silver, not ever the most fun trying to order something at the mint anymore but I have been successful on the past 4 items thankfully......I wish everyone that is still trying to the most of luck to all of you!
I was able to get them both! Logged into US Mint just two minutes in advance. Took three minutes to get the Silver medal, took half an hour to get the gold coin! Yippee!
It shows that both the silver and gold have been both sold out now for me. After all of this BS the past few times trying to order, I am happy just getting the silver one's.
I either bought zero of the gold coin or 45 of them with the amount of times I entered my CC info and clicked submit (just to have the page reload and start the checkout over).
Mint site even more glitched than usual, showing gold still available right now when it plainly isn't. Also alerting me to expired CC's that I deleted from the account weeks ago. They're baaaaaack. lol

He prefers to order by phone as most old school guys do and was really frustrated when trying to use his computer and phone and unsuccessful on both days. And even when he gets it into his bag, he's just not going to be able to enter all the information within seconds.
He was not at all impressed when I described the processes I had to go through in hope of just getting one (multiple browsers, cards, address....and 100s of refreshes).
It just seems crazy.

In the mean time computer comes back up no gold but silver in stock same thing order processing and then froze.
Then I get email saying received order,but didn’t know for what item.
Meanwhile each keep popping back in and out of stock but with me having 1 order in afraid I’d double order something so didn’t do anything but wait.
All said and done, order history finally shows I got the gold.
However still waiting on 2nd confirmation email for it.

Funny, this thread started off as a WWII coin & medal thread, though attention quickly turned to the Mayflower US/GB joint release. Hmmm.
Fingers crossed the craziness at the Mint does not effect this new offering.

Did a quick flip of the gold coin for $2,000 on eBay, but I'm keeping the silver medal. Its minimalistic design is kind of growing on me.
