Happy Thursday, Guess that grade if you'd like. I just added this to my US silver type set. I like blast white coins, but this one really caught my eye and I'm happy to add it to my collection.

No problems, I wonder why people on this forum are so ridiculously extreme in their grade opinions. 55 or so.

I would call that one a 53.... in hand, could be 50... TruViews tend to be complimentary. Cheers, RickO

Hmm... here are some better pics, me thinks... I will say that the TrueView doesn't quite capture the subdued luster behind the toning.

    I'll guess XF45.

After the slab shots and seeing that luster I'm temped to move my guess from AU to MS. But not quite there. She is a pretty one. AU58?

I think she would of been an AU55 but the 2 pock mark hits on the neck and cheek net grade her down.

Thank you for showing your pictures.

That would probably be a couple points higher than what I thought (and guessed) based on the TrueView. Looking at your picture, I would say it really looks AU55.

Just a rambling thought passing through my head ...

I have often wondered what happens when you have a TrueView that makes the coin look somewhat LESS desirable than it might be. Although most of the time, the TV represents the coins in a accurate or even glamorous way, I have also witnessed the opposite. In this case, if I am considering the coin as a Buyer, I would not consider as strong a bid based on the TV alone.

Somehow I doubt someone could ask PCGS to take the TV down and delete the pictures before they went to sell if that was the case on their coin. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems once the picture is taken it resides with the certification number in a forever way.

Your pictures show the dynamic of the luster better, and so, with both (or just yours), I would be a stronger buyer if I could not view in hand.

After seeing the new pics I'll bump up to 45.

I'm in the 45 camp as well

Well, I appreciate all of your comments. Thank you. I'm not sure if this coin just doesn't photo well, or if PCGS was liberal with their grade assessment. The 3 marks on the neck and cheek are all I can see on this one. Thanks and happy Saturday!

I think the combination of some striking weakness on the high points and toning patterns that look like wear make it appear circulated in the photos. Nice coin, in any case.

You should have shown the slab photo also with the grade cropped out. Looks more MS than the other Pics!
