As much as I like bullion, a fighter who survived the Hungarian revolution told me the real currency in really bad times is ammunition, booze and cigs.

@Lakesammman....I agree with the ammunition value.... booze to a certain extent, cigarettes not so much anymore...smoking has decreased a tremendous amount now...... I would say firearms, ammunition and food would be the resources for a modern zombie apocalypse.... or some such collapse of society. Cheers, RickO
