1873 Indian Cent - MPD within the denticles?

Now that this auction is over, and I did not participate other than a spectator, do you think that this is a Misplaced Digit within the denticles, circled in black? It appears to have the upper curvature of the 8 or 3, although it is not listed in the CPG or I might have bid on it. It is probably within the Snow Book ( @EagleEye ), but I have not yet acquired them...potential Christmas gift I have been advised. Does anyone have any opinions on this variety?
