i am not trying to steal double's thunder with his weekly picks contest. just a little extra somethin' somethin' for this week's games.
the rules are simple:
pick every NFL game (straight up, no spreads) and have them in my inbox prior to noon central this coming Sunday. (there is no Thursday night tilt this week.) if you are one minute late, your entry finds its way into the dumpster. if you have posted even a single time anywhere on this forum in 2020, you're eligible. if you haven't said jack all year long and decide to use my contest to make a grand entrance, you'll also find your way into the dumpster with all of the late entries and Bill O'Brien and Dan Quinn and Thomas Dimitroff and Adam Gase in a week or two and hopefully Matt Nagy if he experiences brain fog one more time at the end of a game.
the sharp cookie with the most correct picks to receive a life-altering, earth-shattering sum via PayPal........................$25.
what if two or more entries tie, you ask? the breaker will be the total points scored for BOTH Monday night games. in other words, send me your selection for all 14 games, AS WELL AS your prediction for total points scored between KC-Buffalo AND Arizona-Dallas. closest to the actual figure wins. if two or more peeps tie with the game picks, then really annoy me and tie again with the points total, i'm just gonna keep my money or something. but i don't anticipate that happening.
if corona decides to get involved, any game postponed beyond week 6 will be removed from the contest. we're not gonna wait weeks to crown a winner. but if a game is moved to, say, Tuesday of next week (a la Buff & Tenn tonight), then it'll count.
soon after the noon kickoffs i will post everyone's picks on this thread. then after the Sunday night game i will update the standings as we head down the stretch into Monday night's games.

no scores, just your predicted winner of each game. the only number you'll send me is the total points scored for both Monday night games (in case a tie needs to be broken)

Interesting contest but a bit too complex for me. I'm not a Fantasy Football guy, so i don't know many of the particular details of each team like others here do, in order to properly handicap and win a proposition such as this.
Kudos for having a contest, and maybe I'll look ya up on the next one.
But if i had to pick the winner of this contest, i'd have to say the favorite would be Perkdog. That cat really knows football. Hope i didn't just jinx his chances.

and Raiders are in this year. Remember the Teddy R. speech Brady is so fond of? To suffer inglorious
defeat or ultimate victory one has to at least join the fray.

If i see any shenanigans in the wagering, i'll be forced to do an in depth investigation.
For example if i notice Perkdog picks all favorites, but the other entrants pick all dogs, i might become a little suspicious that the fix is in.

if Dallas beats Arizona, the tiebreaker will decide the victor between 2dueces, MCMLVTopps, zippcity, and JRR300
if Arizona beats Dallas, the tiebreaker will bust up 2dueces, MCMLVTopps, and zippcity
but zippcity has to be praying for an Arizona win, as he is sandwiched right in between MCMLVTopps and JRR300 in the tiebreaker with no room to spare
remember, the person closest to the actual points total for both games wins

Seriously! I had my absolute worse football day ever yesterday, my fantasy team had an all time low and on DraftKings my 3 small wagers got smoked. It’s laughable how awful I did yesterday

As you reach my age, your brains begin the long march up from your groin to where the X-ray shows they actually belong. Then you are free to actually think about other things besides 6’ European Blondes. It helps the handicapping among other things. 😂😂
