A visit to the bank, picked up 50,000 cents in bank boxes!
Yes, 50,000! 20 boxes. First of all. This is NOT ME, that did this. Lol. I know, you guys probably had the silly notion it was me. No, no way! It was some real serious (NUTS) searcher on YouTube.
Even I would never even had thunk to do this insane attempt. Here's the even crazier part. Can you believe that he really did not find anything of main concern. Wow. The best he did was to find an Indian Cent, and that was not a significant coin as well 1907. Sure, he did find about 10 rolls of wheaties. but nothing big. Now, grant it,I do believe he really wasn't cherry picking any varieties. That does make a huge difference. Later, he categorized all his main important ones, including many Canadians and BU cents. The reason I think he wasn't a variety guy was because he set aside his wheats and he had a stack (maybe 20?) of 1944d's, without mentioning any possibility of a 44 d over s variety. Wow! and you thought I was crazy. Lol. One more crazy mention. On another episode, the same Tuber went back and this time got 100,000 pennies! Way too much wasted time. Esp. if this guy wasn't searching for any varieties. Oh well, more power to him. To think, if this guy wasn't a true cherry picker, he quite possibly passed a 1992 Close am or the highly sought after, 1969s DD? As I post this, I am currently searching through a batch of my own cents. But, a big but, but only 20 rolls! Lol Thanks guys. I'll let you know if I find anything of good mentioning. ![]()

Just because there’s someone crazier than you doesn’t mean you aren’t crazy.

I think I’d lose my mind.
I want to wash my hands just thinking about this

Been there ... Done that ... No luck.
I would not even consider such an ordeal... 50K of cents?? No way... Too much to do and see... I have a few rolls of cents sitting on a shelf for about four years that I have not searched... saw some hand rolls at a bank and on a whim picked them up. There they sit. Not to mention a gallon jug of wheaties I accumulated years ago and have not searched. Oh well... always something to do if I become incapacitated for a while...

I’d rather spend the time going through dimes or quarters and hoping to get silver.
I’ve lost count of how many studies have conclusively proven one side or the other on this issue.
Yeah, he definitely missed out by not looking for any 1969 doubled dies. I'll bet there were at least half a dozen in there.
Lol. I watched his second attempt at 100,000. He did have better luck but still considering the twice amount, nothing! He found about 4 Indians and about 12 rolls of wheats and one Flying Eagle, 1857. But still, nothing significant. This time he was mentioning small dates and large dates and dd 's in the '69s 's but still flew by most of the coins a true cherry picker would comment on. 40 boxes, NO WAY! Just imagine the time spent just organizing each year and cents. Such as, all the Canadians he separated. Shhshh!

Like TurtleCat posted, it would be far more worth it to try your hand in the silver coin possibility.

This is why roll searching anything other than half dollars(and sometimes even them too) is widely considered a waste of time. The odds are so far stacked against you that it isn't worth the time and effort. Just buy the coin(s) you are looking for.
His real motivation I'm sure wasn't the coins, but the views.

Yeah, his interest is probably different than most coin roll hunters? What he placed aside are areas we really could care less about. Such as, canadian coins (grant it, some were in the 30's), an uncirculated pile. He even had a pile of the unusual cents. Gosh, he even kept a plastic bingo chip. Lol.

Twenty of those boxes is 100,000 coins.
Is this guy buying $25 boxes?
Yes. $25 boxes.
