New pickups for my collection

Just got a new pickup for my set in the mail today and I thought I’d share my two new coins from this month. My toned proof seated quarter set is coming along nicely. Both are pcgs PF66. The 1872 is an older PCGS TrueView. Hope you like the colors!

Those coins are sterling representatives of your forum name.... And while I am not a fan of tarnish, those proof coins have excellent detail and quality. Cheers, RickO

I was super happy with how that coin looked when I received it. I got it from a great collections auction and it didn’t have a true view and after I got it and saw the toning it was even better than I had hoped for. The toning in the shield strips really is pretty.

Thank you! I just saw in your footer that you work at Heritage. I picked up the 1872 from one of your recent auctions and it just came today. I thought it was super cool that the lot included the original Stacks paper envelope from when the Tiech Family purchased the coin half a century ago. That was a pleasant surprise.

Are not all GorgeousSeatedToners also SeatedToners? Now, if the name were GorgeousSeatedToners and the coins were ugly, then you'd have a point going in the other direction if my comment were the same.

My Fav of the group is 1880...just wowzer! 1872 is a close second followed by either 1861 or 1866. That 1868 is nice too; damn!

I'm ashamed to post my business strike seated quarters now. :'(

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'm glad I'm not the only one who appreciates toners. I think color adds life to the surface of the coins and its fun trying to find coins with pretty color patterns.
