Welcome! I started when I was 12 in 1961 and still avidly collecting and researching 59 years later. It keeps me sane in my retirement!

I also started in 1961 when I was 10. I am still going strong. I have been to two large regional shows in the last 6 weeks.

Hey if your still on the board I maybe able to help you with your Lincoln cents. I just purchased 500 for young collectors in my area. Don’t want to fill your album because the hunt is where it’s at I think. I have quite a few other’ type cons waiting for you or Landon (others as well), good job young man I like your sprit 👍

Make sure it’s ok with your parents.

PM me and I’ll send you what I have.

Hope you have a good dealer near you. If so, perhaps your dad and you could visit upon occasions. Welcome to the forum. Please show us your pickups as you get them.

Added: I did not know you were so close to Phoenix. Many, many coin shops. Ask on the forum for any well known fair dealers, maybe even a letter of introduction. Just a thought.

That’s a very nice Franklin! Congrats!

  • mothra454mothra454 Posts: 277 ✭✭✭

Really nice Franklin! They're one of my favorite types too. Do you know what the "FBL" means and did you check to make sure PCGS got it right? ;)

Yes i know "FBL" stands for Full Bell Lines and i think PCGS looks for the top and bottom and i don't know for sure what NGC looks for but i don not know if they got it right. My Dad and me have a grading book we can read that and i will know if they got it right.

Good to see you are still here young Jedi Master! It seems like you are having a lot of fun, and also making some good progress with your collection since that first post. :)

Have your Dad PM me when you see this. I have something I'd like to discuss with him.

If you go to a bank and ask for a roll or 2 of halves, I'd bet dollars to donuts you'll find that needed Bicentennial half among them!

    Good luck!
