Is there any way to date Hobo Nickels without the date being intact on coin? By artist? By design? Other method? Thank you!

Those aren't original hobo Nickels by the so-called named artists. They look to be modern attempts and are likely all low grade coins from the 1930s.
The Original Hobo Nickel Club is a good resource and has several books available where you can study up on the subject. I highly recommend learning more about them as they are fascinating pieces.

An early date with a higher grade, especially the reverse is probably more likely to be vintage.
A dateless, heavily worn one with blunt carving darkened with shoe polish or similar? less so.

Those look like attempts from now days since their slick. Doubt that nickles would be that slick in the 30's.
These were probably done in the sixties at the latest. They have been locked in a closet since around that time. Slightly possible into the seventies but I do not think so. Will have to ask.
If someone could determine in which decade these may have been done that would help. Someone got into the coins in 1978 and took several hundred Morgan Dollars. They were taking not leaving on that one😁 Nobody knows of anything added to coins after that though of course something could have been at some point.

Look like these from artist Hobo Max.
They appear to be crude attempts to simulate the real hobo nickels.....The experts would definitely pinpoint them as 60's or 70's creations at best.....even later. And I do not think those examples are even close to Hobo Max. Cheers, RickO
