DETERMINING DATES FOR HOBO NICKELS

Those aren't original hobo Nickels by the so-called named artists. They look to be modern attempts and are likely all low grade coins from the 1930s.

The Original Hobo Nickel Club is a good resource and has several books available where you can study up on the subject. I highly recommend learning more about them as they are fascinating pieces.

An early date with a higher grade, especially the reverse is probably more likely to be vintage.

A dateless, heavily worn one with blunt carving darkened with shoe polish or similar? less so.

Those look like attempts from now days since their slick. Doubt that nickles would be that slick in the 30's.
