Official Roosevelt Dime Thread
A thread dedicated to what I feel is the under appreciated Roosevelt Dime.
They can come frosty white to intensely toned and a really nice set can done without breaking the bank.
I know there's at least a few people here who have some jaw droppers.
Let's see em.
I'll start off with this one, a 1946P in MS67+.
I completed my registry of 46-64 dimes and then decided I would only keep a date set going forward with my best one for each year. This one fills the 1946 slot.

I think they are overlooked. The reason, might be because the design both obverse and reverse is dull. To me at least. But.....I do have many raw pieces that have superb wonderful toning! What's up with that? Years ago I bought a complete set in a Whitman folder, 1946-64. At a roadside antique store in Ohio. The price was a couple of bucks over face. Yes, they are under appreciated.

Yeah, it was a great deal. Best ever! Also I bought a Mercury dime set there. Everything except the 16-D and the 1921's. It was also priced the same as the Roosevelt's. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Here's the best part.......the Lovely Mrs. Hydrant was along for the ride. All day long it was non-stop nagging........ "Let's go into that place......look!!!! another antique shop!! Stop! Look another one!" I was going out of my ever loving gord!! Anyway, we stopped at the last one of the day and........BINGO! .......BUT GET THIS.....In The same stall that the dimes where in.......there was a ball of twine and an empty coke can for sale! Sweet Baby Jesus!

Here is a wild non-silver Roosie I found roll hunting sometime between 2009-2013/14. I have showed this one in the past, it is a shattered obverse die most closely resembling SHD-10c-2007P-07 as cataloged on the cuds-on-coins website.
Something a little fun and different among all these beautiful silver Roosie toners. 2007 was a big year for 10c shattered dies.

These are both PCGS MS68+ that I made one and two months ago. First is a 1951-S and second is a 1953-S. There are only six MS68+ silver Roosevelts in the series at PCGS, and one lone MS68+FB.
