Official Roosevelt Dime Thread

A thread dedicated to what I feel is the under appreciated Roosevelt Dime.
They can come frosty white to intensely toned and a really nice set can done without breaking the bank.
I know there's at least a few people here who have some jaw droppers.
Let's see em.
I'll start off with this one, a 1946P in MS67+.
I completed my registry of 46-64 dimes and then decided I would only keep a date set going forward with my best one for each year. This one fills the 1946 slot.

Count me in! Here's one of my favorite "spares" that's not currently in either of my Registry sets.
Just received this today from a forum member. 67+. I dig it.
That's a really nice clean looking Roosie!

Really nice Roosevelt dimes. I think toning on roosies makes for beautiful examples.
Here are my two best PCGS Roosies:
I bought that coin off eBay way back when the population of 47P dimes in MS67+ was either one or two (it's currently ten). Ended up trading it to another Roosie collector for a few other really nice Roosie toners I needed for my set.
All beauties! That you guys posted.
20 rolls to go through later.
"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!
--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.I think they are overlooked. The reason, might be because the design both obverse and reverse is dull. To me at least. But.....I do have many raw pieces that have superb wonderful toning! What's up with that? Years ago I bought a complete set in a Whitman folder, 1946-64. At a roadside antique store in Ohio. The price was a couple of bucks over face. Yes, they are under appreciated.
Wow, great deal! Couple bucks over face, huh? Mannn.

Yeah, it was a great deal. Best ever! Also I bought a Mercury dime set there. Everything except the 16-D and the 1921's. It was also priced the same as the Roosevelt's. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Here's the best part.......the Lovely Mrs. Hydrant was along for the ride. All day long it was non-stop nagging........ "Let's go into that place......look!!!! another antique shop!! Stop! Look another one!" I was going out of my ever loving gord!! Anyway, we stopped at the last one of the day and........BINGO! .......BUT GET THIS.....In The same stall that the dimes where in.......there was a ball of twine and an empty coke can for sale! Sweet Baby Jesus!
Now where did I put that ?
If you like doubled die Roosies here is a nice one-the 1948 Doubled Die Reverse, Die #1. PCGS MS65 FB.
If you like clashed die Roosies I have one of those, too
My Washington Type B/C Set
Here is a wild non-silver Roosie I found roll hunting sometime between 2009-2013/14. I have showed this one in the past, it is a shattered obverse die most closely resembling SHD-10c-2007P-07 as cataloged on the cuds-on-coins website.
Something a little fun and different among all these beautiful silver Roosie toners. 2007 was a big year for 10c shattered dies.
Take care,
Jeff
Another spare I like:
Oh Bob, you know I really want this coin!!!
Here's a few just back from grading. Pulled these from my Raw Set...think I'll dig for more.

Well, guess I'm going to have to find out how to post pictures. I've got a few Roosies I'd like to share.
This one is probably my most wild/intense Roosie toner. Color and luster is off the charts in hand.

Another spare, with great luster (especially for a 57D):
That's gorgeous! Your "spares" would make for quite a nice main set.

Thanks. That's another great thing about Roosies: it doesn't break the bank to hang onto nice duplicates.
There's a few nutsy toners in this thread. Roosies sure do like to tone up.
That's a pretty fantastic error!

The die cap is also a low mintage satin finish coin from the SMS Special Mint Set.
That is just plain cool...

These are both PCGS MS68+ that I made one and two months ago. First is a 1951-S and second is a 1953-S. There are only six MS68+ silver Roosevelts in the series at PCGS, and one lone MS68+FB.
Keeper to fill my 1947 slot. MS67+
