Well, I haven’t had something to show for a bit. I have bought some nice widgets for side projects, but haven’t seemed to find anything I would consider for the “put away” box (at least for coins) until recently.
This showed up today. The sellers pictures made it look a little darker brown, and more uniform in color, which I liked the look of, but I was pretty sure there was more to it (even though they take outstanding pictures).
I think my pictures capture the color more accurately (at least to what I see in hand), although she has a lot of depth that changes from a little darker to a little lighter in the light).
This is a little more difficult die marriage with very interesting shield diagnostics, and has the perfect balance of skin, luster and detail for what I like to collect. I am thrilled to add her to the fold.
Kind of like my FJ Cruiser exploits in the mud, there’s just something that feels right about being crusty at the end of the day.

As Lance noted, it's an O.129 marriage which has some interesting diagnostics in the reverse shield.
I received this from Dave Kahn, and according to his records, this one came from the Dale Heisler collection (dispersed about 10 years ago). Dave (and Brian Greer) placed it with another Indiana collector at that time, who just recently decided to part with it.
I am thrilled to include in my collection, and be it's next caretaker.
