Only 67 or 68 Certified grades...

joeykoinsjoeykoins Posts: 17,638 ✭✭✭✭✭

Hi guy's. Yeah, since many of us strive, hope, search and even pray for that coveted certified grade of 67/68, can you post any certified coin, Proof or Business Strike, any slab, that has those magic numbers. Many coins have a big difference in value between the two grades (67, 68). I really love those unique Morgan Dollars that have such a high grade as those numbers! WoW! Thanks guy's. Here's one of my MS 68's.

Exquisite, not only in the grades but the color! Hey, my 1945p Wartime that I recently placed in a thread of mine. Yours definitely is much more prettier. Almost FS, huh? :)

It really depends on what you collect as to if a 67 or 68 grade is coveted or difficult to obtain. For modern ASE collectors it would be difficult and disappointing to have anything under ms/pr 67. And for most 19th and 20th century 67 is not unusual or even all that lofty anymore with all the gradeflation and the proliferation of 67+ coins in the market, over half my Lincoln set is MS67. Its only when you get into the 18th century and earlier coins that those grades become difficult to obtain. But in the sprit of your post here you go. While I do have some MS68 and PR69 modern Lincolns this is the highest graded wheat Lincoln I own.

The only 68 that I own. It’s not easily accessible right now, so this old lousy photo will have to do.
