My PL Mercury Dime crossed to our host!

My 1941-S Merc was an NGC 67FBPL, upgraded to a 67+FBPL there, and then crossed to PCGS at 67+FBPL. Love the original color on this piece, not blast white like most PL pieces. Super happy about this one, pop 1/1 at our host. To CAC next!

Wow, the NGC population for 67+ FB PL coins doubled. I remember when there were only two (and I owned both). Congratulations on the upgrade/cross! You should get a nice premium in that grade. I did when I sold mine.

So only 3 PL’s in all grades so far for the date/mint....67, your 67+, and 68.
And from looking at the sales for the other 2....yours looks much more eye appealing to me.
That's quite a coin. Looking at the obverse shot, that very much looks the way proof mercs photograph. Same with the reverse shot, except usually the mint mark is less obvious.
@airplanenut yep, this one looks really close to a proof compared to other PL Mercs. It’s spectacular.

@LanceNewmanOCC @keyman64 It's strange, the cert worked for around 2 days before the trueview was in but now it’s hasn’t worked for about 4 days. Will contact them soon.

Congratulations on the crossover.... That is a nice coin... I had to blow it up to look at the doubling...machine doubling, but some of the serif's looked split....has it on both sides ....Cheers, RickO

@Kove my friend, a CAC member, hasn’t sent the coin off yet. It might be a week or two more for results. JA’s tough on PL non-Morgans but I think this will get a bean.

Look at the die polish on that guy! Those dies got a scrubbing right before that coin was struck. Looks beautiful.

Very nice indeed. That's definitely a beauty. So I'm curious. You said it upgraded to a 67+ there at NGC before you crossed it. Did you submit it to NGC for a reconsideration or did someone else? I've collected Lincoln cents since I was a kid and have a decent start on my registry set but I seriously don't think I could submit a coin for a 1/2 a grade upgrade! I'm certain mine would go down a 1/2 a grade. Lol! You are seriously on your grading my friend.
