New "Guess the grade", a chance for redemption - 1834 Bust Half **GRADE REVEALED**
In a recent game of guess the grade by another poster, who also had offered up a CBH as the subject coin, more than a few of us taking guesses ended up being off the mark.
The first image of this 1834 CBH is just a quick shot from my phone's camera, the second image was that of the sellers. The coin in hand reasonably looks like it's about somewhere in the middle of the two images, but either way I don't think it will present that big of a hurdle for anyone trying to make a good guess of the grade.
Let's redeem ourselves in this post. I'll reveal the assigned grade in a short while.

First picture looks 53, second looks 55.
Looks solid and clean as a 55

Top end 55!
BHNC #248 … 140 and counting.
I feel a 55 is fair.
When a man who is honestly mistaken hears the truth, he will either quit being mistaken or cease to be honest....Abraham Lincoln
Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it.....Mark Twain
I'll stick my neck out at 58.
It feels silly to say 55, since that's what everyone is saying. But I gave it a good look and saw a 55 on my screen.
It's 55.
I'll be consertive and say 50.
Solid AU

That is a strong 50. Nice coin.
Wow... short GTG.... Looking at the OP pictures, I was thinking 55....But obviously I am missing something... Nice coin though. I really should come on here in the evening if I do not want to miss these exciting GTG's
Cheers, RickO
Yet another argument for the OGH and grading in the days of yore.

I was going to give her an AU55. I am really diggin' the holder! The coin is not to shabby either!

Pics look a lot different. The whole slab view looks like a 50.

The first picture and the slab picture are from my phone and not the best.
It is a strong 50 imo
