A little help with this 1909 G$2.5 please? Indian Quarter Eagle

Is this a halfway decent example? I thought she was really pretty.

My concern lies in the color, but I think it's because they took pictures two different ways or in two different places.

which is troubling itself sometimes, so I thought it best to ask before submitting.

Any approximations on grade? I know the pictures arent great for that sorta thing, but a ballpark would be very much appreciated if you could, please.

Thank you for your time. Hope everyone had a safe weekend.

what does it say on the slab?

Why do you assume it’s been graded? The OP wrote “...so I thought it best to ask before submitting.”

Different coins maybe. Ask more questions if you are considering buying it. Edit, obverse looks like a PCGS slab.

The obverse pic is definitely in a slab

Maybe it's been cracked out of a Details holder? The luster looks a little flat to me, but it could just be the lighting.

It appears that way, but it certainly looks markedly different from the reverse.

Looks like it may be two different coins. The obverse looks slabbed while the reverse looks raw. Could be seller error loading his pics. I'd ask the seller what's going on with this coin or just pass on it.

You need to provide us with photos of the coin that were taken under the same lighting conditions. The current pair almost look like it's not the same coin.

The warm orange-gold color of the obverse is often seen on gold pieces. The lighter tone of the reverse is even more common. You seldom see one coin with different toning like this on both sides.

As for the luster, these coins tend to come with more subdued luster than their Liberty Head counterparts. The original surfaces can range from rather bright to frosty.

The coin appears to be Mint State, but we really need better and more consistent photos to give you any really informed advice.

As noted above, it appears to be two different coins.... and when I see that, I just pass....Not worth the hassle or potential for a bad buy. Cheers, RickO

Something is not right, why show the obverse in a PCGS 3 prong gasket and the reverse in a full gasket? The cropping style is also different between the pictures.
I would stay away from that one.

I agree it is probably two different coins. Both look decent to me, but there has to be either a mistake or an attempt to mislead, so I would avoid unless you can get an answer from the seller.
