    Made in 1975 and 1976 (same dates on coin used in both years) to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the USA.

    Yours had a D under the portrait - minted in Denver, Colorado

    Welcome to the forum this @Kubas123 ! I recommend buying the 2021 Red Book of US Coins. It’s a great resource and easy to use. It’ll help you determine if what you have is likely to be worth much and some of the history is simply interesting. Good luck to you.

    Interestingly I just got one of those in change yesterday from AutoZone.
    Like the others have said, bicentennial issue, worth 50 cents.
