Yeah, something doesn't look right.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Yes, the dates are too small, so they are counterfeit.
Look cast.
No good.
What.... they're only slightly fake.
Have you contacted the seller?
No bueno
no. i stopped doing this a long time ago. less than 5% of the time contact got the item removed. my time is too valuable to keep beating my head against a wall. this has been discussed to no end over the years here as well. if a seller of high-end coins can't detect a fake of such obvious a nature, they need to learn a stiff lesson. to protect their buyers and themselves.
it isn't a hard line, it is one learned and preferred for a long time for me. i certainly don't condemn any others that take the time to do so.
i don't know if they are honest or not nor will i reliably be able to tell from some text on a screen. seems like sometimes they knew but either didn't want to remove, didn't care or were financially strapped. at the end of the day, the item/s need removed.
i was actually thinking back many years ago before they blocked buyers identities and i used to be able to contact them directly and did many times. had some painful but beautiful experiences working with them about why i thought their item/s they had purchased were fake and how to work to get their literally thousands of dollars back. long story short, within a couple months of me doing that, bidders id's went anonymous. coincidence? the world may never know.
identify, report, move on. - teaching for me stays on forums and in-person.
thanks for the back-up.
Just got a reprieve on one of my recent purchases. Fortunate for me, it turned out to be real. Boy'o boy! Feel bad for ya buddy.

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.on the opposite end of the spectrum, look at these high quality, seemingly without end key date coins. i don't see any probs except a few polished items. wow
Lance, I hear ya loud & clear, it's a tough game chasing all the counterfeits and bad sellers. There are times the seller is honest but just got in a hurry or have someone helping them. This seller has good feedback and looking through their sold items it doesn't look like there is a pattern of counterfeit coin sales. I have sent the seller a message, will post reply if I get one. I have found quit a few sellers that remove their own listing. I have also seen more that don't.

Wow, those are flagrant fouls!
Looks like listings were ended by the seller.
The 9 looks like an upside down 6.

Edited to add: Don't get any ideas about bidding on this cuz I'm the high bidder and I don't want the competition.
not even really good fakes

The first link does not go to an item anymore and the second has been closed. So looks as if action has been rewarded. They were obvious fakes...Cheers, RickO
