Let’s hope I’m wrong, but how could any show go on until well after vaccinations have started? Just one person in the show could reinfect who knows how many? I know I look forward to the ANA and CSNS and a few locals shows every year.
It will be interesting to see how a show like the ANA proceeds...imagine a situation where stay at home orders are not in force but the public is wisely maintaining caution around large gatherings of folks. The convention center may have no obligation to let the ANA out of its contract. Thus cancellation may turn into a commercially negotiated delay.
In my state the safe at home expires at the end of this month. Our local coin show probably won’t meet in May but it might in June. I’m sure they’ll have tables spread a bit further apart. Our state is going to follow a phased approach to opening in 2 week increments with The option of going back an increment if the situation demands it. Thankfully the new case load of covid19 has slowed a great deal. In my area only 6 people have been confirmed in the past 4 days and 22 or so in the past 10 days.
@keets Just got this email about our monthly show:
"The May 3rd Marietta monthly coin show has been cancelled due to our continued concern for the health of our guests and dealers."
yeah, I have faith in the good nature and humanity of people which finds its way to the surface in difficult times. it's better to be safe and patient, we will all be better off in the end because of that.

Which major show will be cancelled next? Well, I'd guess the next one standing...
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
I'm really wondering about the Dalton,Ga. show...I think it has a better chance than the ANA show to be a go.

air4mdc seems to have a good point, but based solely on what the Ga. Governor has said, this show will probably be held.
