Which one of you pranksters put this in the Coinstar reject tray?

AzurescensAzurescens Posts: 2,907 ✭✭✭✭✭

I haven't found a walker in years. It's also my first 1916, and 1916-S, and first find in the wild for this year/denom. It's my first time checking a coinstar in the city too, lmao.

I really thought it was gonna be a D but I was too worried to try until I got a magnifier.

I have a feeling there's gonna be all sorts of neat stuff in the coming months.

Wow! A walker and it’s a better date. I once found a walking Liberty half in a coin star, but it was a common date from the forties.

    This is so cool.
Last week I ventured to the grocery to for the first time in weeks and the Coinstar reject slot was chock a block full.
I walked right past and a week later I still have no symptoms so I consider that trip successful.

Don't be surprised if more older coins don't start turning up in Coinstar machine reject slots. High unemployment and bills coming due means people are going to be looking to cash in the jars of coins they have sitting around the house.

    All glory is fleeting.

    Awesome find. Congrats!

Forgive the ignorance of my question please, we don't have coin star machines here...
Why does the machine reject these? Do coin stars reject all 90% coins?

I'm thinking weight, dents, and size. This might give you an idea on the workings of these machines.

All I've ever found in the Coinstar reject at the Walmart is pocket change and a a few foreign coins.
Unbelievable that folks who use Coinstar will leave the store without checking the rejects.

A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.
